Chapter 5
3 weeks had passed now sice Arnav and Khushi had gotten married. Each day of these three weeks was the same with Arnav leaving to office early and coming home late to catch up with work which he had missed because of his marriage and another reason was to stay away from those weird feelings he got when he was with his wife. On the other hand, Khushi had done nothing but but handle the housework, try to make the family happy. She had also started doing the little wifey jobs like cleaning up Arnav's and her clothes and setting their wardrobe after the clothes would come, making dinner and breakfast for him though he rarely stayed back and or came early to have it with her and the family but she would however, get the message by Di from Arnav to just keep the food on the table and go ot sleep as he would be late. Khushi was quite happy in her sasuraal, thought honestly sometimes she would get a little bored cuz she really didn't have anything to do other than some little chores, the Prakash brothers would handle all the cooking, the maids and the other servants would handle all the cleaning.
The family wouldn't really force Arnav to stay at home after his marriage or they didn't exactly plan any honeymoon for Arnav and Khushi, Arnav marrying Khushi eas enough with them. Plus, looking at Arnav and Khushi, they had decided to not interfere until they both needed it.

Present
It was four in the evening. Arnav was at the office, the rest of the damily were gone to visit a satsang however, Khushi had stayed back saying she wasn't feeling well. The family had gotten worried for Khushi but she had dismissed the issue saying she had already consulted a doctor and it was just a minor cold. The family had almost immediately bought that excuse thanks to the monsoon season. It was high time Khushi thought about herself and her life.
Khushi was seated on the recliner, watching the little rain drops falling from the grey, heavy clouds and into the pool causing ripples to appear in the pool, outside. The weather didn't exactly seem the friendly and kind like it always was.
Khushi's mind drifted back to the three weeks of her marriage. She had gotten quite bored since she had nothing to do other than some little chores and wasting time wasn't acceptable for Khushi Kumari Gupta; she knew how much it's worth. Her birth parents had died when she was seven; she had never got time to live with them like normal children did, she had to start supporting her family at a little age and the best she could do was study the hardest for later; she never had the time to enjoy her childhood properly.
Making up a decision, Khushi stood up determined to do what she had decided.

Khushi was pacing the Kitchen with a ladle in her hand, her hair carelessly tied into a high bun and her duppatta tied around around her waist. She had given the Prakash brothers an early leave today, with no one at home and nothing to do, Khushi had decided to cook dinner by herself.
Ignoring the boiling curry in the pot, Khushi's mind drifted back to her decision. What would the family think of it? Would they approve of it? These questions were making Khushi restless, resulting into her pacing the kitchen's length and biting her nails, thinking of the possible answers. And what would Arnavji say? Who cares?!? Its not like he treats you his wife anyway, so there is no point in asking him anything or letting him decide what YOU want! A part of Khushi suggested. But he is still your husband! Plus, its not like he has treated you very badly. You should ask him and listen to his decision! Defended the other part of Khushi. Confused on what to do, Khushi's pacing speed just increased. However, a smell brought Khushi out of her reverie. "Oh NO!!!" Shrieked Khushi before hastily walking upto the almost burnt curry. Khushi sighed in relief after finding out that all of the curry wasn't burnt and she could still manage with it. Kicking all the planning aside, Khushi decided on just straight away telling the family her decision and take whatever comes after that.

Khushi went around the table, keeping the pots with food on the table. It was nine at night now and everyone had returned from the satsang some time ago and now the whole family was seated around the huge dining table... Even he was here!
Finally, after placing last bowl of sugar-free kheer on the table, Khushi took her seat next to her calmly eating husband, Arnav.
"Hmmm...the food is amazing, Khushiji did you make it?" Asked a closed-eyed Anjali, the contentment was displayed on her face after eating the piece of roti dipped into curry.
"Uh...yeah, actually I didn't have anything to do at home so I thought of preparing the food" Murmered a slightly nervous Khushi. The family looked so satisfied with her, what will they do aftet hearing her choice? However much Khushi had told herself not to worry, she couldn't help but think about the same topic again and again.
"Ohh, Khushi betiya, we are soory about the fact that you get bored at home, you know, you are free to do anything you want, if you want then you can cook whenever you want to" Nani suggested, trying to make Khushi as comfortable as they could. Everyone had already accepted Khushi as their family member very easily, they all loved her.
"Yeah Khushiji, feel free to do anything, this is your house now anyway" Anjali added chirpily.
"Yes Khushiji, you shouldn't waste your talent by sitting at home" Shyaam put his point of view in the conversation aswell.
(A.N: Shyaam is not a creep in this FF, he won't be shown much but he's a very loving and caring husband to Anjali and a great son-in-law to the family...lol...he was gonna kill himself if I made him the Shyaami-Harami in this FF aswell) While the family was busy encouraging Khushi, that one person sat in the cheery corud queitly, seemed non-interested, however it was really hard to tell cuz of his ASR mask.
"Ummm, actually about this..." Khushi started as the family calmed down a little and indicated her to go on.
"...I have thought about something, in the last few years I had finished my architecture's courses and I have my degree aswell, I've already done my work experience/internship for LNS Architecture and so I was wondering if I could just continue with my architecting career" Khushi finished a little unsure of her decision.
Finally, the person who had been eating silently all this time, not bothering about anything, looked up from his plate to his wife...
