Chapter 1
The priest started chanting the mantras which signified the start of this holy bond of marriage.
Arnav was sitting there all this time, totally pissed off and frustrated. First, he was getting married to a total stranger he hadn't even seen before their "marriage" and then, he had had to share his room, belongings and LIFE with her. She was from a middle class family and is probably a gold digger who has finally found her perfect chance at a luxurious life! Thought Arnav with disgust.
However, Arnav had already told his Di that he would never accept this girl as his wife or give her that place because he simply never believed in marriage, "the special bond". If there was anything like that than his parents wouldn't have gotten divorced 13 years ago or his father wouldn't have literally sold him into this bond for some money to start off AR. From what his Di had told him while persuading him to complete the contract, his would-be wife was born in a rich family but was later orphaned and all her wealth was taken off her by her father's family. But all Arnav cared was that right now, he was being forced to spend all his life with a stranger who could not even be compared to the Raizadas.
It was now time to put the sindoor and manglasutra on the bride. Arnav pinched a little of the red power from the pot and filled his bride's parting. Arnav then picked up the chain from the tray and tied it across his wife's neck.
For Khushi, the red power, sindoor, meant a lot, it was a blessing for a marries woman but for her it was just a compromise and so was the mangalsutra, which her husband had carelessly tied around her neck. He probably didn't even know how much it meant to her. That thought made Khushi almost cry but she stiffled a sob in her throat however, a tear escaped her eye and fell straight on Arnav's hand which was still tying the mangalsutra.
Arnav looked up at Khushi with disgust. So, she was practicing for her farewell! The event's frustration caused his brain to only think that way.
Arnav was cent percent sure that Khushi was all happy from the inside and was just acting to be sad, trying to gain his family's sympathy at leaving her own family.
His thoughts were brocken with the priests announcement " The groom and bride will now get up for the nuptial rounds".
At this announcement Arnav got up and so did Khushi. Anjali came from the back and tied her duppata with his cloth and they were told to go around the fire seven times.
Khushi's feet were forced to walk by Khushi. She had always dreamed of a grand wedding with her prince charming since she was a kid and had learnt about the concept of weddings. However, now with each step she took, the crack in her dream got bigger until it completely broke. Maybe this wedding was grand but she didn't care about the money invested in it. She just wanted to feel welcomed and loved in her new house, for which she was leaving her own precious family behind. She knew she will get all that from this family but the most important person involved was the one who had erased all her hopes, her husband.
The wedding was over as the priest announced Arnav and Khushi, husband and wife.
All the guests started leaving the place after witnessing the marriage of the ASR, something nobody had even thought would ever happen, at least not this soon. Most of the guests were impressed by the Raizada's choice of choosing such a beautiful bride and the other's were wondering how SHE had become the Raizada's bahu when she had no status, class or money.
The gossips and news were ready for tomorrow.

After the guests had left, the couple were then ushered towards the door for their Garh Pravesh. The rest of the family took their positions besides the door to welcome the new couple.
"Di please..." Arnav tried to protest but Anjali was adamant.
"No Chotey, now get behind the doors with bhabhi for your Garh Pravesh" Anjali said with a giggle, trying to lighten the atmosphere as much as she could.
After Anjali had set everything up for the Garh Pravesh, she directed Khushi to knock over the rice. Khushi knocked over the pot with rice and was about to step in when she was hadtily stopped by Anjali.
"Noo...no...Khushiji you can't just enter like this..." Anjali spoke cheekily confusing Khushi. Would she have to return from here?
"Chotey you have to pick her up and get her in" finished Anjali with a mischievous smile, however, Khushi's eyes widened at that and Arnav just rolled his eyes in frustration.
"Di please..." Arnav was in no mood for these silly games.
"Chotey its a tradition" Anjali pressed further.
Giving up, Arnav roughly picked Khushi up and rushed inside the house and roughly put her down once they were in, wanting to get this all over and done with.
Knowing her brother and his temper too well, Anjali decided to skip all the other rasms (traditions).
Anjali stopped the rushing Arnav at the stairs when he was trying to just get away from all these rituals of "HIS WEDDING" and said "wait for just ten more minutes Chotey" Anjali said with a puppy face and then added "please".
Arnav rolled his eyes, exasperated "Now what Di?".
"Just come to your room ten minutes later, okay?" Anjali said and before he could ask anymore questions, dissapeared from there.
Arnav sighed and went to the living room when he saw his Di coming there and taking Khushi with her. He knew why his Di was taking his newly married wife with her. He knew it was their Suhaag Raat.

The same thought was in Khushi's mind. She was scared. All sorts of other thoughts were crossing her mind like Would he force her? Would he try doing something with her when he didn't even accept her? What would happen?
Though Khushi wasn't hoping for anything good lest she got dissapointed again but she was still fearing this night. She didn't know what future held for her and the only way to know was to wait and watch, so she walked behind Anajli and entered THEIR room with no hope but fear of the next...
