Punjabi and Gujarati wishes

This post is for everyone but special wishes to jojo, our true blue Punjabi kudi of this section. 😃

Now again the message is for everyone but specially for Shabnam, from one Gujju to another 😉 😆

Have a dhammal filled Uttarayan... makarsakranti ni khubaj badhai. Eat lots of chikki and Undhiyu, fly tons and tons of kites and play blaring music on the terrace to drown everything else out.

On a personal note, my mom makes the best Undhiyu in the world... i hold firkis very patiently when all around me are flying kites (dare i admit it? i dont know how to fly a kite 😳).... but i enthusiatically join in each scream and shout... always have a bad throat when Uttarayan ends 😊... i'm missing the terraces of home and radio mirchi Ahmedabad today... 😭 😭

After living in Delhi ....khubh punjabiy sikhli hay ye kudi ....
I love Undhiyu ....this is my favourite veg gujariti food....The only time I get a chance to eat is during Diwali time , when I got to their function or friends houses....

And yes another yummy punjabi dish Makki ki Roti aur Sarson ka saagh ....that dish also eaten at friends place.....

Thanks Shabnam... par main bahut tooti phooti punjabi bolti hoon. Yeh toh mujhe kisi ne Lohri ka message bheja tha jo maine type out kar diya. My only point of reference for Punjabi are the songs of Rabbi, which i really like. 😊

What are you waiting ...you live in Delhi and miss this golden opportunity to learn this beautiful language..Punjabi is a very sweet language ...I picked up few words through my friends but I tend to forget now ....Abhi Jojo se bahut sikhne ke liye miljata hai ...maza aata hay when she writes in Punjabi... 😃

Shabnam i can follow most of it when spoken... but cant speak it. Will learn it someday.... abhi toh life mein bahut saari langauges sikhni hai mujhe... urdu, sanskrit, Persian, improve my French, Bangla.... its a long list 😊.
I agree that jojo ki posts are a great source of Punjabi. 👏 👏

Swetal ....please please sari languages abhi side mein rakho ziada French pe dhian do....this is one language you already speaking quite a bit, so improve it yaar 😃 ...It s a second most important language after English and it such a respectful language ....poetry ki zabaan hay just like Urdu .... 😃
