What in the world is a TRP??

How do people rank serials according to
TRP's?? What is a TRP? Does anyone KNOW??? Do ppl here just say "oh ya good TRP's" and not even know what a TRP is?? So many ppl have looked at this post and not replied!! Nobody Knows?

not sure..but i think it means the more ppl watch it the higher trps..i think..😕

😆 sorry i have no idea...but the lower the number the better it is...like the rank it is compared to other shows

In serial-world, as long as you get sponsors, and the TRP (Television Rating Points) is good, then no forces can stop a serial, especially mega serials.

TRP ratings decide whether a serial should continue or stop abruptly, whatever the viewing public may feel. It is an international method adopted by countries to measure the popularity of programmes. Gadgets that record what people see and do not see in certain areas of the country are taken as the yardstick to continue or discontinue a serial. Market forces follow these ratings to decide whether sponsorships should continue or not, to buy slots on television.

If the TRP ratings are good, the show must go on, if not they stop, even if the story is half told.

that's what happened with KYPH serial i believe!! it was stopped with out an ending!!
