She came back to India after completing Business in Manchester because she couldn't get a job there due to recession.

Karishma mentions in this interview that most of us were school drop outs, so yeah most of the yester year actresses were school drop outs. I always used to wonder if they were school drop outs, how did they manage to get their vocab right(the flowery language n high funda english words). I think most of them would have enrolled themselves in to spoken English classes to communicate well.

It's fine if they didn't finish school. But how I wish people were still well-read and had a great sense of general knowlegde. SRK, Aamir, Emraan and Big B seem like very smart and intelligent men. And others like Abhi and Farhan are quite witty and humorous.

The leading ladies some so stupid with their dumb W*F statements all the time. Lara Dutta is the only one that seems like a funny, down to earth person. I wish we had more Ellen Page, Sandy Bullock, JLaw type personas in BW.

and England is strict with laws these days.

You can study but will have to go back home for job.

And with Sonam..she's a reader so I don't understand why you think she's faking it. She always tweets about books she reads and she talks about them hence you can tell she's actually reading it and not faking it.

😆 I wrote this so long ago. I really don't know, it's just my perception from what they say in interviews. It's like the same 2-3 books they remember or read and kind of like rehearsed answers IMO. I could totally be wrong, but Kareena recently said she doesn't read.

I say that about Sonam b/c I remember she used to brag and brag about being a Jane Austen fan and I'm a huge Austen fan so when I read about the Emma-remake aka Aisha I was excited, but her portrayal was so wrong. I imagined that as a fan and reader she would have researched Emma a bit more but she didn't that's way I felt she was or may be faking it. Sometimes I feel like it's all a show--fake sophification. Whereas, SRK, Aamir, Saif, etc. seem like people that thoroughly read and enjoy it b/c of what they said and how they it. Like I said before, it's just my perception of them.

I'm an avid reader so kudos to the women if they do read.
