thanx for sharing. i have seen just one episode of the show ( in which jalal tries to take a woman from the road on bairam khan's saying ) and felt the same. specially when it's compared to Maharana Pratap (which is also a comparatively new show ), the flaws are glaring. the entire set up - from the sets to the costume - looks ' thanda' and lacks the 'feel '. and sorry to say but even Rajat looked unimpressive in certain scenes, he tries hard to look evil but ends up looking 'forced' - either he's not 100% into the skin of his character ( which is really hard to believe ) or Ms. Kapoor and her directors are not fully tapping his potential. i would like to believe the latter. hope Rajat proves me wrong in the days to come .. i have been his fan since the PRC days, he is an actor par excellence since his childhood and i have very high expectations from him.

So, when they leads are soo good n have such awesome chemistry, I'm game for it. 😃

Also, this is NOT the review of the show, 😆 it's the review of the first episode only. Read again guys. First epi had many faults, which were definitely improved upon on the next 3 episodes.

With each episode the show is greatly improving, n giving us the pure feel of of the historical shows. ⭐️

So this post has no meaning now as it is based on the very first episode n it is very wrong n unfair n judgemental to judge a show based on only one episode n that too, the 1st one.

I agree...everything is over-explicit in this show..its lacks subtelity and grace...
A good review overall. And the punch line-its good but could have been better!

Ekta shouldn't have taken this risk

Though its a different genre

But she could have made a different historical fiction

But this is history

I hope she ends up doing justice to the show

Things that I would like to change:

The music

The narration

Less dramatic..

The dialogues..!!

I don't agree with the map part though,..Urdu was used in Akbar's time.. So it has to be Urdu. They are all Mughals.. Why would they write in Devnagri?
