CHAPTER-18.

Prithvi sat staring blankly at his open laptop,the next morning,as his coffee sat already cold on the table..But Prithvi was lost in his own painful thoughts and frustrations.He was a fighter and believed in fighting and solving his problems,rather than sitting frustrated and feeling helpless..But this time his fight was with his destiny..How could he deny it and fight it?How could he change his destniny and grasp what he wanted..How could he be so selfish as to think of himself only?How could he..?

He had tried his best to stay away from temptation for two whole days,that had seemed like twenty years to him..He had tried to forget that wild and beautiful and hot tempered,yet mesmerizing child woman-Meera..He had tried to forget how perfectly she fit his arms,how beautiful her face was,how spell bounding her eyes were,how arousing her fragrance was,how soft her lips were..But in vain!

It had taken his best effort and years of practiced self control not to give in to his temptation,and go and see her for two whole never ending days..And then as if God was testing his control,the temptation herself had walked into his arms..

"I HAVE to forget her!I have to!But how..?"Prithvi let out a tortured groan and leaned back on the chair closing his eyes in frustration.

"Prithvi beta?!"Ramu kaka suddenly interrupted him in his painful thoughts..

"Beta,Sudha Thakurain is here to see you.She is sitting in the hallroom.."Ramu kaka informed him.

Prithvi was up and alert instantly.

"Sudha Thakurain?!"Asked an amazed Prithvi.But quickly regained his composure.

"Ok I'm coming.Thank you for informing me kaka.Please arrange for some refreshments for her?"Prithvi asked the old man with a polite smile,who nodded in agreement and left.

Prithvi walked into the hallroom hurriedly,and truly,the warm hearted beautiful lady was sitting on the sofa.

"Mrs.-..Sorry,Kaki you?!It's such a pleasant surprise.."Prithvi said with a joyful smile,that he could not control.

On hearing him,Sudha instantly got up and walked upto him with a warm smile,and to Prithvi's utter astonishment and boyish pleasure she gave him a warm motherly hug,and finally when she let go,messed up his hair affectionately with a smile ,as she said,

"I would have come earlier,but could not manage the time..So how are you faring Beta?"

"I'm quite fine kaki..Thank you for asking.."Prithvi said with an embarrassed smile.He did not know how to react as he had never had a motherly figure in his life..And Sudha's warmth and affection was like a boon from heaven for him.

"Oh!Before I forget!I brought your favourite paratha and laddu for you,and also gajar ka halwa,and matar paneer.."She told him with a naughty smile at his shocked expression,as she held a hot pot out to him..

"My favourite..?But..How do you know my favourite..?"Prithvi said in an astonished voice as he took the container from her hand.

"Beta!I'm your kaki,and before you left for Delhi you literally stayed with me all day and night..!So why won't I know what your favourite food is?Hmmm?"She asked with mock sternness..

Prithvi stood shocked,not knowing how to react,as an all new feeling of pleasure and gladness engulfed him and his heart,and he just did not know how to express his gratitude to this woman,who suddenly made him feel so special and boyish at the same time..He took in a deep breath to control his chaotic feelings,as eyes,he realized in embarrassment,had started to get misty..Quickly he looked away to hide his tears of pleasure and happiness,but Sudha,as if understanding his turmoil,turned him back to face her with a soft tug.

"I'm like your mother,beta..Please don't feel embarrassed in front of me?And I hope you are not angry with me for bringing these.."She drifted off.

"No!Never!I'm really glad you did!Really,kaki!"Prithvi quickly reassured her ,getting his feelings under control.

And Sudha smiling softly,with her eyes also misty,pulled his head down,and placed a soft kiss on his forehead..

"Thank you beta.."She said looking up at him,with a smile.

The tender action,was nearly Prithvi's undoing,but he quickly controlled himself..And with an affectionate boyish smile at her,said.

"I'm really hungry..Let's eat.."

Saying this he pulled her towards the dining table,to feast on his favourite foods,with his rediscovered favourite kaki.Unaware that Sudha was remembering his similar childhood act of sharing his food with her..

Meera was lost in her reverie of last night's incident as she lay on her bed..

That man is so insolent!How rudely he was staring at my..She could not complete her thought,as her face warmed with embarrassment at recalling Prithvi's hot ravenous gaze.

And he dared to kiss me!How could he?!Even after I turned my head away,he ..Again she could not complete her thought as she colored with embarrassment.

Biting her bottom lip,she changed position and hugged her favourite pillow,as she went on thinking..

The man should do some perfume advertisement!The way he smells,any girl would go crazy!She thought with irritation,unaware that she was admitting to be among those girls..

And his eyes..What is with those eyes..?They make me-

"DOST!"Her thoughts were interrupted by the arrival of her 9 year old friend Jeevan Lal.

"When did you come Jeevan Lal?!"Meera asked with a smile of pleasure.

"Dost!I just came and I'm bored!Let's go play cricket!All the others are busy with something or the other!Let's go!"Jeevan Lal said,already pulling her out of the bed.

"Okay,Dost!I'm coming!Let's go play cricket!"Agreed Meera immediately,and both left the haweli.

Prithvi was enjoying the morning looking around the village..Sudha Kaki had left after feeding him his favourite dishes,and giving him a warm hug before she left,and also promising to come back to see him..

She is such a wonderful person..Prithvi thought to himself as he walked across a stranded road...

She is so calm and loving,and her daughter is so wild and hot tempered!He thought,shaking his head with amusement.

Meera,an amazing-

THUD!!!

Prithvi's thought was broken,as a cricket ball hit him hard on his back...

this chapter wormed my heart . Atleast it explaind why did Prithvi say away from Meera.
And that lovely lady .. Is she Prithvi's mother? !
And that description of both Prithvi's and Meera's feelings ..didn't make us feel that was no Mithvi momment in this chapter.
And the last scene ..oh it is really funny .
I am waiting to see what is going to happen next .

It's amazing how he has a mother-figure in his life now in the form of Sudha ...future mother-in-law! xD Can't wait for the next chapter!

yes I know . But maybe there is a twist in the story and Sudha turns to be Pritvi's real maa , and Meera turns to be an adopted girl. 😃 sorry friend this serial is making me brainless. 😕 but I really enjoy this FF . It is like a thundi hawa. 😊
