Sonakshi called an eternal beauty

In the past Sonakshi Sinha's appearance has often been compared to yesteryear Bollywood beauties Meena Kumari and Nargis. The recent promos of her period film Lootera have caused a rehash of the same. And Sona is trying not to get carried away.

"It's very flattering to be called the 'eternal beauty'. It's a big compliment for a newcomer like me. But I wouldn't even dream of comparing myself with such legends. It makes me very nervous," she says.

The actress, who was heavily pulled down by her detractors for her bulky figure, is now having the last laugh. Her two upcoming films — Lootera and Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Again have put her in the top league. "She is aware of the image she has created of herself. Not many actresses of her age are associated with quality cinema. Sonakshi doesn't get bogged down by criticism nor gets carried away by compliments," says her friend.

But that doesn't stop her from basking in the glory of being defined as a classic beauty.
