Would you eat cloned meat?😕😕😕

Should food from cloned animals be allowed onto supermarket shelves?

Authorities in the United States have taken a major step towards allowing meat from cloned animals to be sold to the public.

The Food and Drug Administration has decided in a draft ruling that milk and meat from cloned pigs, cattle and goats are safe to consume.

The agency said it was unlikely to demand special labelling on such foods, but would defer a final decision until it had gathered comments from the public.

Would you be happy to eat cloned meat? Could cloning techniques be used to boost food production? Are you in the US, if so, will you be taking part in the public consultation?

Considering that current cloning technology falls far off the mark in making a clone that is in perfect health, I would have to say no. Once they produce exact genetic replicas through, without exposing the animals to diseases, and the animals not immediately catching the diseases, then maybe.

There would have to be a large number of moral boundaries that would have to be worked around, however.
