frankly girls are not to be rid of by marrying them to any tom dick and harry

And Mukta is not waiting for marriage..She is more clear about what she wants?Personally I don't want married life for both the girls any time soon..

Sadly there are more people like naniji in the present age...Girls are not allowed to study in many communities and are forced to marry in younger age which is not good..But uttaran teaches the exactly opposite..And what baffles me is a well educated noble businessman gets her daughter married in such an young age without even caring for her future..Ridiculous...

Completely agree your points on womenhood...BUT coming to rupalis story...i very much feel tapasya , rathore and mukta are completely ignored and its all abt meethi and aatisgarh...be it study or marriage or friendship or any track...all shud have equal screenspace...

Till you attain maturity and your brain is fully developed and you are well able to think what is right or wrong for you, you know whether this person is right for you, you know what you want from your lfe and whether this person is able to be my life partner. Whether or not with his family, I will be able to adjust or not. Maturity teaches you to adjust and compromise without which no successful marriage is possible because a marriage is binding a whole family, extending a family and welcoming a new person in your family and making other people your family till death.

If you are too young then you will not compromise or you will surrender yourself and your personality without giving it a chance to develop

Though nothing wrong with it, a girls adjusts beautifully and makes her home but from a human point of view, a girl should be given a chance to develop her personality and develop her intelligence the right way.
