Shlok is very happy about Alaka's marriage with Shan and h is eating sweets. He decides to go and share a sweet with Gauri who has a bitter mouth and a bitter attitude. He goes to Gauri's room and finds her doing aerobics. He calls out to Gauri a number of times but she doesn't answer him back. He goes and switches off the music system. Gauri is not at all happy and tells him that she was doing exercises. Shlok tells her that exercise wont help but that she should try doing yoga which his Father had taught him and if she wished, he would also teach it to her. He then offers the sweet to Gauri telling her that she must not be very happy about the marriage of Shan and Alaka. Gauri smirks at him and goes and fetches a box of sweets. She forces him to eat one of the sweets and tells him that she is very happy for her Father. She also asks Shlok to grow up and to think for himself for once, instead of dogging Meera's steps.
Alaka enters the house with a guilty expression and she sees Ammaji sitting with a stony face on her jhula. Ammaji stops her and tells her that she will have to answer certain questions, along with Shan, in front of all members of the house since it is related to their future. A little while later, Shan and Alaka along with other members of the family had assembled together. Ammaji asks both of them as to how callous could they be to go and meet somewhere outside the house and what people would be telling about their relationship. Its true that they are to be married but this news is limited to the people pf the Bharadwaj House only and any wrong action on their part would allow the back biters and the opposite group to come and throw stones at the Bharadwaj House. At that moment Meera comes in and she tells Ammaji that neither Shan nor Alaka was responsible for the meeting since they had no idea where they were going. Actually, she had planned their meeting. Abhi also acknowledges his role in this meeting. Ira taunts him as to how outsiders were now getting involved in the happenings of the insiders.
Ammaji forgives Shan and Alaka on hearing this and asks them to take care of the situation. She then tells them that although she had been very angry with them, yet she has a very good piece of news to share with them – that they were going to get married after 7 days. But that the news would be made public only when the time was deemed fit. Everybody is pleasantly shocked except for Ira, Suli and Alaka. After everybody goes away, Suli tells Ira how she was already feeling the tinge of separation from the house keys since after the marriage, Ammaji would surely hand over the keys to Alaka. Ira thinks that the keys would never ever go to Alaka but she couldn't fathom out why Ammaji had agreed to the marriage after 7 days.
Ira goes to Ammaji's room and asks her as to why the marriage was happening after 7 days. Ammaji tells her that there will be no marriage in the house after 7 days, she had to say that since she had to rein in Meera and her spontaneity. She had full faith in Alaka and Shan but it was Meera she was afraid of. She then further tells Ira that their will be a marriage in the house after 2 days and it will be Meera's wedding. Ira is scandalized.
