they should have cast a girl that can show more fire when mad
that builds chemistry between a pair..that cliche sexual tension these shows depend on
she emits no chemistry with the main lead.
She is a pretty girl but doesn't have that fire and passion needed for the role. I mean the girl just lost a family member..I would expect the CV to show more hurt...more anger..and fire
Yeah that's what I mean. She needs to emote but as she is new, I think she will pick that up but at the moment its not pleasant to watch. Even Raghu, to be honest, does not come across as a gunda - I don't sense that fire and rebelliousness in him. If he is so cynical why is he playing ball outsider her home? that totally broke the image for me!
I can actually also understand, Antara. She is numb - had been through too much. But then the consistency is broken - she is shown being aware of Rahgu. Then off course emotions is expected and that is not happening.
I want to see more of the trouble she is coping with - grieving mother and oblivious brother while she is silently suffering. I want Raghu to see all this and be intrigues, maybe see her dealing with her 'mad# mother, then quietly going somewhere to cry...all this would be true and within character.
Sorry to go on about it but,as a writer I always look at character consistency because stories flow from that. :)
