CHAPTER-13.

Prithvi sat at the dining table,having lunch with Ramdahari and his family.

Ramdhari Singh sat at the head of the dining table,while his grouchy unfriendly younger brother,Lakhan,who seemed to be hating Prithvi at first sight,just like his niece,sat on the other end of the table.Prithvi,sat on the right hand side of Ramdhari Singh,and Meera,facing Prithvi,sat on Ramdhari's left hand side.

Ramdhari's wife Thakurain Sudha Singh,and his elder sister in law,both were serving them foods.

"Have some more pulao.."Offered the warm and friendly natured Thakurain Sudha Singh,but Prithvi politely refused with a smile.

Ramdhari talked on jovially about his meeting with the sarpanchs,as they ate,while Meera and Lakhan,both kept sending dagger looks at Prithvi between their meals.Prithvi,who was amused at uncle and niece's antiques,tried to keep a straight face and listen politely to Ramdhari also responding once in a while,as they finished their lunch.

Finally when their main course was over,Sudha Singh came in with kheer and freshly sliced mangoes as desserts.She offered Prithvi the mangoes first.

"Beta,try these mangoes..They are from our own orchards and I'm sure you've never had such yummy mangoes before.."She went on saying as she served mango pieces to Prithvi in a bowl.

As Sudha Singh went on talking and serving desserts,she was completely unaware of the looks that were being exchanged between her spirited daughter and Prithvi,on seeing the mangoes..

Prithvi looked directly into Meera's eyes on seeing the mangoes.With an amused look,noticing the rising color of her face,he looked back at the mangoes,and then back into her eyes,and slowly raised an eyebrow at her,teasingly.

He watched on with amusement,as he saw her blushing red.She was slowly shaking her head at him,and also warning him with her eyes at the same time,indirectly telling him to keep his mouth shut

"Miu?Is something wrong dear?"Asked a suddenly puzzled Ramdhari,pulling both Prithvi and Meera out of their silent communication.

"No!No,nothing is wrong.Why are you asking,Papa?"Asked an embarrassed Meera.

"Ummm..Your legs are hitting mine,under the table for some time..So I was wondering.."

"Oh!Sorry!"Replied a more embarrassed Meera,her fair skin now almost tomato red..

Prithvi realized,she had been trying to warn him,by kicking his legs under the table,but had mistakenly ended up kicking her father's.

With that realization,came the sudden burst of laughter at the hilarity of the situation,which he managed to stifle at the last moment with a loud cough.But still he could not hide the grin from his face,as he looked on at an immensely embarrassed Meera.

"I'll..I'll go to my room now."Said Meera,and sending a last scathing look at the grinning Prithvi,left the dining table,as everyone looked on puzzled..

Prithvi sat with Ramdhari,in the balcony.

"So now tell me about you,beta..What did you say your full name is?And where are you staying?"

Prithvi quietly looked up at him,to gauge his reaction,as he replied to his query.

"I am Prithvi Khanna,the only son of Rajeev Khanna..And I'm staying at the Khanna Haweli,my ancestral house her."He finished in a calm voice.

"Prithvi Khanna?!!"Exclaimed Ramdhari ,and with a shocked look he stared back at Prithvi..

Now Tehsina this is too short chapter..

It was written perfectly. I liked that teasing scene very much , homour ,nautiness, embarassment. How can you make me feel all those in a very short chapter?

Now I am really buzzeled. Why is Ramdari shocked after hearing Prithvi's full name . I hope no old dushmani between the tow families.
