Nothing new. Regionalism has always been there.

You never see any South Indian contestants. All, right from season 1, are North Indians. It's like South Indians don't know/can't make anything other than idli-dosa.

But then, it's there in every field. For example, the movies selected for the oscars are 99.99% hindi despite there being interesting & superior movies content-wise from the south.

So chill, watch the tamasha unfolding & don't over-analyse 😉 😆

@bold xactly. The auditions r always held in hindi speaking belt ie, Delhi,Mumbai and Kolkata. Atleast they could hold auditions in cities like hyderabad or chennai which represents south and theirs a multicultural community too.Master chef represents the cooking skills of whole of India is what they say 😕 but the purpose is defeated here.Anyways the mantra is just enjoy the show.

Regionalism favoritism are all parts of shows nothing new in this. What I find funny is many serials portray that characters becoming south indians for some reason. The typical south indian as per these ppl are for ladies heavy make up glarring lipsticks head full flowers and men dhothis shirts and towel on shoulders all I can do is laugh at it its damn funny the way it is portrayed.Just like they put a disclaimer in movies about characters being kalpanic not real etc etc .We as audience must watch all these shows be it so called reality show or daily soap with a disclaimer in our minds dump logic practicality reality etc etc and watch coz if we analyze you cannot watch simple sirf dhekneka sochneka nai samja kya 🤣

Karnal if I am not mistaken is in Andhra. Bangalore though technically is a southern state in karnataka is so metropolitan that it does not fall exactly under southern bastion.Good they came here but how many where picked Navneet se koi aacha nahi mila kya in logon ko
