i didn't think Sanchi's dress was wrong for a college party in a city. i mean i think udaipur is a big enough city rite? i dont no, i live in mumbai n i dont know any north-indians.

So i dint get why she hid it n why Anandi was going all is-this-what-you're-wearing on her... Since her family seems all cool n stuff

it is exactly what i would wear, actually it is exactly what i did wear at a friend's 18th last year, only my dress was in purple. And i own three LBDs- obsessed with them, actually.

i'm really hoping the upcoming (molestation? not sure) track doesn't depict western dressing as a cause of violence against women. Because it is SO not.

Any views?

Note: if this has already been discussed, could someone kindly steer me towards that thread.

I don't think cvs have any intention to make a issue with mini dress. If these were some other boys I would have said that cvs are trying to show that they got attracted to sanchi for her short dress. But these are the same boys who harassed sanchi and now are angry and want to take revenge on jagya and sanchi. And they were pissed of because jagya is getting so much attention and sanchi is all going gaga over jagya also other girls are getting very impressed with him.Sanchi could have wore anything, those creeps were anyways going to harass her its not the dress issue.Jagya has clearly said that you should wear only what you are comfortable with not according to what people wants to see.Its clear with Jagya's dialogue that if someone is feeling comfortable wearing a mini dress she shouldn't think that people will think bad about her. There are many people including me who thinks the dress was very short and revealing also just like anandi because she never used to wear such dresses and also she never saw sanchi wearing mini dress. So she feel weird looking at it.People who wear the dresses are absolutely fine with it but who doesn't wear they have problems.I don't think shekhar's would say anything rude to her if she would wear the dress in front of them.Or if shekhars have any problem then sanchi shouldn't have wore it.Because every family has some restrictions so she should have respected them. But she conceal it in front of anandi and then she changed it.Shekhars are not a conservative family nor a very modern family so sanchi should have asked before wearing it.But the girl sanchi is she will do what she wants to.

Cvs are not against modern dresses but with the voiceover they clearly mentioned that we should respect our tradition, thats it.

I agree with u TM...i didnt see the epi but saw the snippet of the party..I actually liked her dress...n it suited her..
Tradition thing is fine but one cant be dresses in saari n lehenga all the time...it depends on persons comfort level.saanchi has always been shown in chic modern dresses n carries them of well so i dont understand wats the big deal.
molestion is not due to dress or other things...its assertation of power by male over female...some narrow minded males feel threatened due to female indepence be it in form of dress or job or education...they molest them just to show off tht they r still superior to them.
Its silly to blame the dress...I dont want bv to show tht females r eve teased due to dress...those who want to tease they will do so even a burka clad girl...

BV and its social messages... let me give CVs a big round of applause 👏
I don't watch BV now so don't know what exactly was, but 🀢 it is SO pathetic to blame women for molestation due to dress... It is a person's own comfort level and choice what he/she wanted to wear... and in initial days, I watched Sanchi she was carrying modern dresses quite comfortably... So why crying on her dress now??? Aur waisay bhi "Khao Man bhata, Pehno Jag bhata" mean whatever fashion/trend is wear according to that and eat what do you want... So why criticizing on western outfits???

In Bold... Neha I thought I commented sometime ago on this forum so guys go and have a look does dress matter to blame women...

I don't find any thing wrong with her dress though those are not the kind of dresses I wear.

For troubles to happen - there has to be a mixture of things.

A girl in short dress does grab eyeballs but it is dependant on whose eyeballs caught the short dress and how they chose to react to it.Sane people depending on their taste they either appreciate or if it is not to their liking they turn the other way.The ones with deranged thinking process may take that dress as an invitation and focus their attentions on that girl.

As for the girl herself - Well it is not the skirt that makes her look cheap or classy but her behaviour.

Here while there is nothing wrong with her dress but her behaviour borders on being cheap. She is throwing herself at him not willing to take the polite no from him.She is doing that in front of a huge crowd. And everybody seems to be aware what she wants. This behaviour of hers as given some people who already have a lot against her a good opportunity to cause trouble for her.

It is not the dress that causes problem at least in Sanchi's case it is the way she conducts herself as led her into trouble.
