Yash is telling Ammaji that his visit to Lucknow was successful and that the proposed groom's family was willing to come over to Benaras to meet the Bharadwajs and to also see Akanksha (Aki for short) for their son. Ammaji is very happy. At that moment, Ira comes and tells Ammaji, while crying, that Shan had left the house once again and gone away for ever and that the reason for his such random behaviour was definitely Alaka, who must have said soemthign horrible to him. At that moment, Alaka was passing with the puja thali in her hand, and on hearing this news and allegations, she rushes to her room, with tears in her eyes. Ira continues her ramblings and says that all these downfalls had happened due to a person who was not even a part of their family. Ammaji stops Ira and tells her that she knows Alaka very well and understands her also. And that Alaka is the daughter-in-law of the house and is hence the daughter also, she is not an outsider. Ira Is not at all pleased.
Alaka rushes to her room and breaks down crying in front of a miniature idol of Lord Krishna saying that she was indeed responsible for Shan's leaving the house and for separating him from his near and dear ones. Meera comes in at that moment and sits down beside her and consoles Alaka. Alaka tells Meera that Shan had left the house cos of her but she had no other option because of a promise she made to somebody. She then proceeds to tell Meera that while she was praying, Gauri had come to her and told her that Alaka had given a lot of things to her, including education about their culture and tradition. She asked Alaka whether Alaka wanted to see her as a person of Benaras. Alaka acknowledges her wish to which Gauri tells her that she is willing to become one with the place only if Alaka grants her one more wish. She extracts a promise from Alaka and then asks her to tell Shan to leave the House. Since she had promised, Alaka could not turn back and she had in fact asked Shan to leave the Bhaardwaj House. Meera consoles her and takes her out of the room to near the staircase where she shows Alaka that Shan had returned to the house once again, and this time of his own. Meera hadn't stopped him this time. It was Alaka's love which stopped him form going away.
Ammaji is very happy to have Shan back and she tells him that his Mother's love for him had actually stopped him from leaving Benaras. Everybody is very happy. Meera comes down with Alaka to the hall. She then goes to Ammaji and reminds her of the promise that she had made to Meera on the day Meera had brought back Shan to the Bharadwaj House. ammaji was so happy that day that she had asked Meera to make any wish or demand to her, which would be fulfilled at all costs. Meera tells Ammaji that that day she had nothing to ask for but today she wanted to wish for something and she hoped that AMmaji would fulfill her wish. Ammaji assures Meera that she would definitely fulfill Meera's wish but the next day, since she wanted to complete a Puja in the House marked to celebrate Shan's return to the House just like Ram's return to Ayodhya after the exile was over. Meera could then ask for her gift the next day, but within the time frame of the Puja, after which Ammaji would not be able to fulfill Meera's wish.
Ira is in her room with Raj trying out various necklaces. She tells Raj that she is very well aware of the gift that Meera was going to ask for from Ammaji, and that Ammaji knowing everything was not acting judiciously. And that she would have to do something.
Suli receives a call from Sonu's mother-in-law, Gayatri, who informs her that Chaubey Maharaj was refusing to complete a Puja in their house, cos they are distantly related to the Bharadwajs. She further tells Suli that Maharaj was expecting to talk to Yash. Yash speaks with Maharaj and tells him that the mistake that has happened in the Bharadwaj Family had been rectified and Chaubey Maharaj had himself initiated the purification process. Chaubey Maharaj agrees to complete the Puja. But after disconnecting the line, he tells Gayatri devi that today he was completing the Puja cos of Yash's request. But if anything else happens in the Bharadwaj family, then all their relations will also have to suffer the consequences.
Suli questions Yash that ecverybody knows what Meera is going to ask from Ammaji and why isn't Ammaji understanding Meera's intentions? Yash goes away from the room after stating that Ammaji must be fully aware of the situation. And that she would act accordingly.
At Alaka's room, Alaka tells Meera that she is aware of the gift that Meera is going to ask from Ammaji. She forbades Meera to ask for that particular gift and that it would usher in a storm in the household. Meera assures her that she will be there with her to clutch her Mother's hand and be with her during the troubled times. Alaka takes Meera's hand and places it on her own head and asks Meera to promise that se will not ask anything from Ammaji to that effect. Meera tries to wiggle out but Alaka refuses to let her go without the promise. Meera looks sad.
