Meera tells Ammaji and the other assembled members of the family the truth about Shan and Alaka's love twenty years ago which they sacrificed for the welfare of the Bharadwaj family. Everyone is shocked. She tells Ammaji that two lives which had been ruined twenty years back, have now been given another chance to start on a fresh track and that the marriage between the two would erase their loneliness and emptiness. Ammaji listens to everything that Meera syas but she tells Meera that what Meera is trying to achieve will never come true 'cos she will never give such a permission which will raise various sorts of questions in the society. The relationship that was correct in the past will now bear no fruit but will instead 'cos great hardships for the existing relations and the family.
Meera goes to Suli and Ira and asks them to try and convince Ammaji as to the marrage. Nobody says a single word and leaves the hall. Shan tries to explain things to Gauri but she also leaves. Meera asks Shan to go after Gauri and explain everything to her. Gauri is not at all happy and she tells Shan that she will not accept Alaka in Shan's life as his mother and then wife.
Ammaji is talking to Yash over the phone and asks him to return soon. Raj comes to Ammaji and tells her something regarding Alaka and Shan's relationship. Before he is able to say much, Ammaji stops him from talking about Shan and Alaka. Instead she asks him to inform Suli that Yash had finalised their other daughter, Akanksha's marriage too. The boy's family, who resides in Lucknow , has agreed to the proposal. Raj is happy and rushes off to tell the others.
Suli and Ira are in their room, ecstatic over the finalization of Aki's marriage. Ira tells Suli that before the brewing storm crashes over the family and that its better to get her daughter married before disaster struck. She is very scathing about Shan and Alaka's relationship and tells Suli that while all these had been happening in the house, yet they had not gotten a whiff of it. And this was not a sudden outburst, probably the mother-duaghgter duo had planned this entire thing with an intention of catching Shan. Gauri overhears this and is furious.
Meera is praying in front of Lord Krishna that after all these troubles, when Alaka and Shan were finally closer to each other, God should help Meera in finding out ways to re-unite these two, poor helpless souls. Once Meera goes away, Gauri, who had been listening to Meera's convo to God, decides to take things in her own hands and tells God that the marriage will not take place since this time, Meera will lose and Gauri will ensure that Meera does so. And that she will not give Alaka her Mother's place in Shan's life.
