In MEIEJ, dreams have played a pivotal role in the storyline as they always foreshadow something that will eventually happen. Maybe it is also because the characters who perceive these dreams are gifted with ESP (Extra Sensory Perception😆)
Madhu :
1) Main Agar Kahoon Sequence - This dream begins with Trishna dancing with RK but eventually switches over to Madhu and RK. RK is wearing a mask during the dance. Finally he twirls her around and they end up in their banner pose before he drops her down.
In reality, Trishna did desire for RK but it was Madhu that got married to him. They got "married", he faked his feelings and we had the un-wedding drama - his revenge.
2) Main Pareshaan/Love Realization - Madhu realizes she has fallen for RK. After the Pareshaan seq she imagines RK and confesses her feelings to him. She hugs him and even he too hugs her back. When she asks him whether he too loves her she doesn't wait for his answer, but quickly tells him not to reject. Soon she realizes it was her imagination and the real RK walks in.
This was proven to be true during the un-wedding drama when RK said he faked his feelings for her.
RK :
1) After Sultan's entry - He dreams about himself and Madhu. Out of nowhere he sees Sultan approaching him to harm/kill him and Madhu screams RK.
Many have connected it with the recent face off between RK-Sultan where the latter holds a gun on RK. However, I do believe thats not the case here. I think it indicates Sultan will come between RishBalas path (As said by Sultan himself). Sultan has this misconception about RK being the villain in Madhus life and he have already said he will be her bodyguard. As the story progress I can see danger coming RKs way.
2) You don't have a "K" in your name - RK dreams of Madhu and asks questions about whether she has moved on and if there is someone else in her life. He also tries to reassure that she can't revenge him like she did because she doesn't have a "K" in her name. Toward the end RK says you left me and she says inspite of you leaving me, I am here because you didnt let me go.
Madhu tried to put a K in her name when she decided to take revenge/teach a lesson to RK. Now it is questionable whether she goes ahead with revenge or not. RK may be aware of Madhu's plan and allow himself to be played for the pain he caused her and finally allow her to go free from him. RK will never spit out the words " I am sorry, Madhu" so this may be his way of saying sorry for everything. This victory will cause Madhu more pain. This could make way for heroine track. The last part also indicates he may let her go but she will hold on to him.
3) Society against Rishbala? - Padmini pulls Madhu away from RK and Radha tells him to let her go.
In reality we saw Padmini appear right after the dream occurred and even tried to talk Madhu into coming back to the chawl but it never happened. However, Padmini is still against RishBala reunion. Radhaji's reaction in the dream leaves more doubts in my mind. Does it indicate that even she too would be against RishBala soon? The irony - when it was fake love, everyone around RM wanted them to be together but now when its genuie from both sides the entire world will be against them!
Padmini :
1) Return of Balraj - Right before her wedding with Shamsher Malik, Padmini dreamed of Balraj arriving at the chawl and trying to attack her and her daughters.
During the wedding, Balraj managed to kidnap the whole family and even had Madhu hanging on a rope though RK managed to save her.
Sultan :
1) Dargah - He has dreams about Madhu at the Dargah. Its beautifully shot:) Each time he tries to go near her, she walks away from him. In between he tries to keep a check on Aryan as well. However, whenever he focuses on Aryan, Madhu disappears. He finally gets hold of her dupatta - she is shocked, and leaves without it.
The fact that Aryan and Madhu was never in the same frame may indicate he cannot have both of them. The promise he took from Madhu to look after Aryan must hold a significance in the future and going by this dream, he may try to pursue Madhu but she will never be his. It looks like Aryan will end up with Madhu without Sultan.
Apart from all this, it seems like the writers keep reminding the viewers about certain ideas and even keep running parallels between the current and previous tracks.
1) RK-Aryan
I find it interesting how these two had not even had a proper meeting yet. I believe Aryan got a glimpse of RK during the Holi seq, but RK was too focused on Madhu. I'm pretty sure he did see Aryan though. I'm still waiting for a proper meeting ever since RK yelled at Aryan through Madhu's phone 😆 I know RK doesn't like to share Madhu with anyone, but it'll be interesting to see his reaction when he fully realizes that he was actually competing with a kid. 😆
2) Progression in RishBala relationship
The last time viewers heard about the dream house was sometime before the un-wedding drama. Then, it was still seen as an idea and something they wished for the future. Right now it has been shown that RK is building the dream house. It is still not complete, but it is still something concrete and tangible meaning that the dream is slowly becoming reality. Furthermore, the building stages of the house also reflects the stages in RishBala's relationship. This indicates that RK and Madhu are in the process of building their relationship further. What is missing at the moment is trust, honesty and integrity and this may be the final stage. Right now its fear, insecurity and revenge.
3) Seek 3rd persons help - RK brought in Balraj with a good intentions but it became dangerous and this time around, Padmini want to bring in Sultan to stop the wedding - will we get a dejavu?🤔
4) Love test - Last time RK wanted to test how far Madhu can go for her love and this time, its Madhu. He passed her test by putting aside his ego and bend down on his knees but his ultimate test will be when she reveal her real intention. If she really want to give him a 2nd chance, she should come out clean. If he set her free, he will pass it because loving someone is setting them free and if not - the circle will continue with endless humiliation, ego, insecurities and thit for that scenarios - unhealthy relation/ destructive path!
5) RKs past - once again we saw RKs past making its surface. Last time he opened up about his difficult past was hard enough yet he did that to gain Madhus trust and compassion to break her later on..again we saw that today but to make her feel she is not alone there with pain..he is there to share. Fake or genuine , RK is himself with Madhu only.
