Sometimes it's just better to smile through the pain.
We can smile even though we are hurting and we can feel happy even though we are unhappy. It's called strength.
Here's to the girls that keep a smile even though they are going through hell and can't tell anyone about it.
The ones who keep their head high, even though they'd rather bury themselves or run away.
The ones who hide their pain behind their smiles, leaving people wonder how.
The one who jokes and to you she seems happy, carefree who never looks down, saddened or lonely. And you never wondered that she might be dying inside and struggling to take a day at a time.
If she could shout, scream and throw things then maybe she would.
But she can't. Instead, she bottles it all in her head while she's crying inside and so scared not to fall, but she knows it's all spiraling out of control.
The strong yet vulnerable girl..who loves recklessly and endlessly, even if it consumes her.
"You see a duck on the water so graceful and swimming but when you look under the waters it's fighting to swim, but you don't see that, you just see its grace of looking so calm when in reality the water is choppy."
Here's to me, you, her, Roshni, Riya, Aisha, Liza, Saakshi and every woman.
So, next time you shun someone for being too jovial, look in her eyes and see the pain well hidden under the layers of smile, pranks or whatever.
See yourself. We do stuff to keep ourselves away from pain. We tend to project on only one emotion after getting hurt. Some choose Anger, and some choose happiness.
You know you do the same. 😊 And if you don't, ah well, you might be a god of some kind! 😃
