I sank down on the couch that laid just near the window and let the wind hit m body. The cold gust of wind send shivers down my spine. What a tiring day it was. My eyes wandered around the room only to have a small glimpse of him around me, but I failed terribly. Where is he? My mind wandered the same thing a lot of time. I let out a heavy sigh, knowing he won't turn up any sooner. Not even today; as if he ever does. Asad Ahmed Khan, My so-called husband who seemed to be lost in his work as always is late. Like always. To say I am surprised or shocked would be an understatement of the decade. Well I so damn knew that this would happen aver night, still I wait for him to show up just to stop my racing heart who is always having a fear that it will loose his heart, I would loose him which I knew, is never going to happen any how. The whole house had an unknown silence prevailing over it. It is do damn not usual. Where is everyone? I can't hear ammi talking to najma or aapi, I can't hear Najma studying or doing anything. Where are they lost? Taking up a shawl, I wrapped it around me and made my way downstairs. There was no one... just no one! What is wrong with the people of this house? I went towards ammi's room and peeped inside only to see her sleeping peacefully and the same scene was shown in Najma's room. I let out a sigh of relief and started to walk back towards the room only to hear the crackling sound of the door. I looked up in that direction only to see Asad coming in a condition I would dread to look at him in. His clothes were torn out and there were a few cuts on his body. I rushed towards him and helped him to the couch. Tears were flowing down my eyes. I saw him lift his hand up to wipe my tears but he stopped mid way and winced maybe that hurts? Obviously it hurts Zoya! Can't you just see him condition? My heart broke seeing him like that. Even when it hurts him, he lifted his hand and wiped my tears away. I helped him up to our bedroom and took his shirt off. The scene in-front of my eyes was one I can't bear. "She's back" I heard him speak as I diverted my eyes on him giving him a confused look. "Tanveer is back Zoya!" he replied making it more clear to me. More tears brimmed my eyes as I look up at him with pain evident on my face.
