What challenges do young people face?😛

Are we failing to protect the rights of the younger generation?😳

😊There are more under-18s than ever before but many governments around the world are still failing to protect children against exploitation, armed conflict, Aids, illiteracy and poverty. 😭

Does our attitude to the next generation need to change? What can or should be done to improve the lives and prospects for young people and children around the world? If you are under 18, what do you think should change?😕

😛"
How are we to stop the use of children for labour, sex, war, begging and physical abuse when the parents of these children were abused themselves in their youth? Child abuse happens in all corners of the world. It is a crying shame and it is about time we, as human beings,
bring this to a halt now. The UN is the only institution that make this happen by sending trained educators into all areas of the world to promote respect for our future generations. The time has come for you to start."😃

Firstly, the title ought to be Do younger people face any challenge. Sorry, but it's basic English grammar.

However, if you want to be absolutely correct, then the title should read "Do the young face any challenge?"

Secondly, it is as much the parents job to protect the kids as the Governments. We cannot go around blaming everything on the government.

thirdly, I have long held the view that Man is a predatory animal. It will hunt and exploit all that it finds weak. So if you want human beings to change this, you will first have to ask for a change in the basic nature of Man.

By doing exactly what?

That's a lovely name. Andromeda means "ruler of men" in Greek. Did you know that?

The UN is the only institution that make this happen by sending trained educators into all areas of the world to promote respect for our future generations. The time has come for you to start.[/QUOTE]

Two things come to mind:

First, why should we wait for someone else to do something? Why don't we do something ourselves?

Which brings me to the second point - what do we do? I'll give you an example. I saw a man driving his car with his young son (couldn't have been more than 3 years old) sitting in the driver's seat between his father and the door on the driver's side. There were 2 other kids - girls - sitting in the front, and their mother was in the back seat. None of them was wearing a seat belt. And this was on a rather busy road. I got so annoyed with the man for putting the children's life at risk that at the next traffic signal I asked him why he had the kids sitting the way they were, and that they could get hurt. His reponse was an angry retort,"They are my children. Who are you to tell me what to do?"

It hasn't stopped me from taking the initiative, but I wonder how many people would want to speak up after an incident like that.
