I have gone through a whole lot of threads for the past few days and I cannot understand why people just keep going at one argument over and over and over to justify a point. For one instant, lets just stop and think what would be the way forward for arjun, purvi, onir and Ovi?

Purvi had premarital sex with her would be husband the day before she is supposed to be married. She, at the request of her adopted sister Ovi give way for her sister to marry her to be husband so that her sister can be happy as well as her adopted mother and father. She felt a stronger obligation towards her mother because of everything she did for her. Was she wrong?

Ovi was promised by arjun that he would marry her. She came to India and found out that he fell in love with purvi while in India and could not marry Ovi under the circumstances because he love purvi dearly. Ovi decided that she was going to get arjun at all cost from purvi as she was not ready to give up arjun and saw her mother who she hated badly as a pawn to get her love arjun. Was she right in doing so?

Arjun loved purvi so deep that he decided that he was going to marry Ovi at purvi's request if that would make purvi happy. He did marry Ovi although he was upfront in telling her he love purvi only but he would work to make their marriage a success. He did try but did Ovi try?

Purvi found out that she was pregnant with arjun's child after he was married to Ovi and decided that she would keep her child. Based on that decision, she went away to kolkatta so that her pregnancy would not cause problems between arjun/ovi and the family as a whole. She knew full well at that point what she was doing and the repercussions that can follow. Nevertheless, she stuck to her decision. Was she wrong in doing this?

Onir met purvi through her teaching job and fell in love with her. He became good friends with her and suggested that they get married because he was fearful that she may face problems in the society if people found out that she was unwed and pregnant. She reluctantly agree. How can people now form conclusion to say she married Onir to save her face when she herself told him the truth that she was unmarried and pregnant? By virtue of telling Onir the truth she was willing to face any humiliation that come with it. Onir could have reacted in the negative but he did not. She could have even lied while there that her husband died, or they divorced etc and no one would have know as they dont now her and her background. So did she really marry Onir to save face?

Onir is a good guy so far, his past might be a bit shady but he is dealing with it and does not want to trouble purvi or want to get her involved. Is he right to hide it from purvi?

I do not wish to have this topic to be sabotage by members assumption but what really happened in PR. Thanks in advance for your maturity and understanding.

REQUEST , again, why are you making it sound like Purvi sacrificed something? 😆
Give and take, Purvi exchanged her fiancee's life for her mother's happiness .
I understand where you're coming from. I have nothing against Purvi sacrificing her own happiness for her mom's , if I were her I would do the same.
I have a problem with her asking arjun to marry Ovi, she could just NEGOTIATE with Ovi, she could tell her she would go away from their lives forever if it makes stuff easier. She could BACK OFF, and Ovi was so desperate that time, she would even bow down to that.
I will tell you what Purvi's mistakes were :
- Agreeing to marry Arjun AFTER knowing he was committed to Ovi, after knowing he broke her so called sister's heart. I would NEVER agree to that sort of love.
- Asking Arjun to marry Ovi.
- To force Onir to treat Ovi, making him leave his patients.
- To not go back to Kolkata AFTER donating Pari
Donating Pari to Arovi without their knowledge was not a mistake, a SIN. Not letting a mother mourn her stillborn's death is a SIN. You cannot talk about INTENTIONS here , good intentions have little value in front of the bad actions taken.
Our parents teach us, if lies are helping someone in someway then those lies are "white lies".
This Pari- Stillborn exchange can never be a white lie 😆
Purvi's mistake is she interferes in everyone's business. She doesn't need to poke her nose where it doesn't belong. If she loves Arjun, she needs to admit it. If she doesn't love Onir, she should not lead him on.

I really have no arguments to bother about the deal and the so called past of Ovi-Purvi-Arjun. There is always going to be agree to disagree on that front, as you won't see our point, we won't see yours.

But what did Purvi marry Onir for then? Since this is my assumption, what basis do you have to tell me why Purvi married Onir? To have her own family? I don't see her giving Onir any pati ka darja to make family with him. To make him happy? I don't think she has let him touch her or even express his love freely in this marriage. To make her parents happy? Heck, she never told him she had a set of parents, and they found out through circumstances not that she invited them to her wedding. She loved him? By your own very theories arjun-purvi have amar prem, so how can she love onir? He proposed to her? So she says yes to any man who proposes? Vinay asked, she said yes, Arjun asked, she said yes, and Onir asked, so she said yes. Is there such a dire need in her to get married?

you talk about independent women and not needing anyone to save face in society infact unwed pregnancy should be embraced with dignity, so why was there a need to accept onir's proposal at all? To have a husband? What is the need? She is happy about being an unwed mom, can raise her on her, has no need to save face, toh for what reason?

She could have easily been friends and accepted his help as a friend in whatever way...There was no need to get married and treat the institution like a joke...jab man mein aaya, jisse bhi shaadi kar li...lol..she treats it like a joke anyway...with arjun, ready to give up boy over one damn deal...with onir, ready to say yes, for the simply fact that he asked..

so a raaste ka mawali would have propositioned to her about marrying her, she would have said yes? LOL

Quite a lot of amar prem she has for arjun!

I have been reading these comments over and over in every post here and I think it has been overused. So no need to back down memory lane my friend. My topic is a straight forward one.

Ovi supporters : Ovi is right, has been.
Purvi supporters : Purvi's intentions were good.

So really no point arguing about the two ladies.

Now if you want to go on about the REASON of Onir-Purvi marriage. I request you to go back to that episode when Onir asked Purvi to marry him.

He said : "An unwed mother will not be able to live properly in the society as she will have to face a lot of humiliation , hence it will be better if we get married"

Now if she agreed to marry Onir for any other reason, then enlighten me , my friend :)

@bold Can you highlight where in my topic that I spoke of this? I did not see it.

Secondly, Onir and Purvi became friends and he suggested marriage, she was reluctant but just maybe she thought that him and her marrying can result in a better life than the one she has for her and her child. No doubt about it but up until now, she has not consummated her marriage with Onir which tells the whole story. I feel that Onir love her and is willing to wait until she can reciprocate that love for him. But I think its unfair to bash purvi and say that she married Onir to save face only when she left for kolkata not knowing what is in store for her. She never went there with intentions to get a man and married to save face. It happened to her by her good fortune, maybe because she did something good in her past life as some would say that is why she found Onir to take care of her. But its highly unfair to blatantly say that she married Onir to save her face.

By the way, what do you mean that she treats it like a joke, is it because she has not consummated her marriage yet? As far as I see she and Onir shares mutual respect and trust. at least they have a good foundation.

I also noticed how you selectively choose the part of my topic to respond to and not the other part. 😊

well there was no need to comment if you felt that way.

I gave a synopsis of the situation and I asked specific questions at the end. Is either you agree or disagree.
