On one hand, I am asked to keep my personal life away from fiction but on the other, we are being criticized for having "old fashioned views" and Indian society is "stupid".
Mods, I request you to take actions against people who are pointing at Indian culture, people's personal views and instigating fan groups.

what do you mean by "old fashion views" and "indian Culture" if you go to Khajuraho temples the explict depction for sexual poses, is not brought here by the westen culture. the Kamasutra was written by Vatsyayana. who is obviously Indian. and both are a part of indian culture and architecture. so how can sexual activity be unindian or against Indian culture.
if our forefathers , forefathers, forefathers who probably never knew that the west existed spoke and openly depicted sex in temples walls who are we to say it not "Indian Culture"

I don't understand why people think we are against sex...lol...who is against sex on the whole? Old fashioned views do not point out at celibacy or something..they talk about a time for everything in life including sex...a certain reverence attached to the act of being that intimate with someone..and that reverence is attached to the institution of marriage...that is the deal here...god knows why people get the idea that sex is supposedly not ok on the whole...

Pre-marital sex happens and is a reality...that is all fine and dandy..and to each his own...some eople are broadminded about doing it with their lovers/partners before marriage..and no personal vendetta against that idea...but majority of indian households, especially the ones like they show in pavitra rishta i.,e purvi;s so called sanskaari parvarish by archu and sulo does not hold true for uber broad mindedness...Wasn't punni being punished for the same?? And who had caught her? Purvi! Hypocrisy much? So purvi herself was against that idea, wasn't she? Ovi drinking is asanskaari which basically a thousand more people do, but purvi having pre-marital sex is an act of love and should be revered by the people? LOL

Being open about sex is one thing and being careless abotu sex is another...sex kinda, if not unprotected leads to babies...and if unmarried, they are labeled illegitmate and have a tough time growing up...if parents are careless and stupid, unfortunately, babies end up paying for their one night stands...THAT my dear is the problem...not why people have sex at all...

People like Purvi giving birth to illegitimate children because of "mistakes" are responsible for India's over population

Over population ----- Poverty ---- Cheap Labour/ Child Labour

So safe sex.

Babies paying for their mother's one night stand? why should they pay?

Purvi giving birth to illegitimate children because of "mistakes" are responsible for India's over population

Over population ----- Poverty ---- Cheap Labour/ Child Labour

This keeps getting better and better. I think I am when I read arguments here.

Of course
I will tell you how, the poor people who are having unsafe sex , are reproducing children, often resulting into numerous babies , earning a bread for living , cheap labour ---- child labour
Educated people like Purvi should not be careless, because with her baby one more baby is added to the society , living with stigma
I am AGAINST abortion but I am also not FOR the social stigma

I will only answer your first question as it is directed to me...Ermmm...babies end up paying for it because they do not get a father's love and care while growing up...they are also faced with taunts throughout their life by other kids...as kids do not understand the reasons behind the situation...they only say what they know is not normal in their eyes...i don't know whether you are from india or what,,, but the fate of unwed mothers is seldom as fancy as purvi;s...they do have a hard time getting married...unless they are uber rich and well off and can support themselves without a need for a husband...purvi was neither rich, nor well-off and clearly she had no idea about what she was gonna do in an anjaan shehr bringing up teh child by herself...the fate of that baby without onir would have been very different my dear...

So that is what i mean by being irresponsible and subjecting your child to a life without a dad, a difficult time growing up and not the best and most normal sense of family...

With some of the arguments defending Arjun-Purvi being amar premis make most of us also go 😆 on this forum :P

so how does someone being poor translate to illegitimate children being responsible for overpopulation. a lot of these poor people are married

Purvi's child did not have to face the problem of being pointed fingers at so the point is moot in my reckoning. She made sure to marry Onir and give the baby respectability. So, why wonder about the would have been, could have been, fate of the baby?

Why this insistence on Purvi having to pay for her "sin" of having pre-marital and unprotected sex with her fiance the day before her marriage? Yes, it does happen in real life where the single mother is ostracized by society, the poorer the economic straits of the mother, the harder it becomes for her to raise the child alone. The CVs fortunately had other plans and saved their parallel lead from the stigma of unwed motherhood. Purvi is educated and would have managed to raise her child alone but fate did one better and landed her Onir.

Being sanskari or even being brought up by Archana does not make Purvi less human than any other girl out there who sleeps with the man she loves and believes will be hers for the rest of her life. Had the apple cart not been toppled, all would have been well and no one would have been the wiser as to when or how Pari was conceived.

Human beings are the same the world over, Indian culture or any other culture. Some cultures hide it or cover it up as a mark of shame, other cultures take it in their stride, does not mean it happens in one and never in the other.
