Pari, don't waste time. I beg to differ. Purvi did marry to legitimise her baby.😆 Oh Lord, here we go again.
I don't think the premarital sex was wrong. ArVi were about to get married the next day, they had no idea what awaited them. So if they got intimate, I don't see what's wrong in it.
I personally think that sex is no big deal, pre-marital or not. So long as they are consenting, knowing adults who love each other, whose business is it but their own.
BUT
Purvi has been brought up in an environment where such things are still a taboo. For Arjun, it's totally Ok for he comes from Canada where people are much more open-minded. I am not saying people in India are not broad minded, but the place where Purvi lived, the chawl, I don't think the people there accept such kind of things.
Purvi had sex, that means she is open-minded too.. but two days back she was busy exposing Punni publicly. Where did that open-mindedness go then? Hypocrisy? Or maybe she was not open-minded at all. Maybe she forgot all of Archana+Sulochana's lessons when her hormones charged up and couldn't resist the temptation. Maybe it didn't matter much to her at that time as she was going to get married to the very same man the next day. Whatever the reason maybe, I don't think the sex was wrong. As long as it was happening behind closed doors with both of their consent, it was not wrong, according to me.
Only thing which went wrong is Purvi's thought process the next day when she decided to play mahaan. She gave up Arjun to Ovi without thinking once that her careless sex of last night might lend her up in trouble in future. She could have taken pills or something the next day. Is she that stupid that she didn't realize the possible repercussions of unprotected sex? Or maybe she did. That's why she ran away to Kolkata when she learnt that she's preggers.
Onir accepted a pregnant Purvi. Not many men do so. If she was rich, it was another thing. But she was poor, living in an unprotected environment with nobody to take care of her. People look down upon such women. Even Purvi understands that. That's why she married Onir, to save her face.
Whose name would she have given to Pari otherwise? Arjun's? Pari would have been born illegitimate. There are many women who give birth to babies who are illegitimate/conceived out of rape but everybody knows the kind of humiliation such kids face in future. The mother maybe capable enough to give them a good upbringing but she cannot change the fact that her kid is without a father. She may not mind it, the kid may not mind it, but there are people who leave no stone unturned to make them feel unwanted. Remember Shravani? Manav had to accept her child so that she would not become the laughing stock of the society. And mind you, she was rich. Savita wanted Sachu is a diffrerent thing. But remember how Manav and Archana sacrificed their love so that Sachu is not left without a father?
And look at Savita and Sulo now. They are telling Purvi off for the same reason. If her own Aaji considers it wrong, how can the society in general be blamed for being narrow-minded? Why was Savita insulting Purvi that day when she herself once accepted the baby which was the result of her son's premarital sex?
Everybody is a big hypocrite in this show. They all shout and scream for the wrong reasons and when there actually is a need to speak up, they restore to crying and melodrama. They scream of their moral values from rooftops, but none is implicated in their actions.
What are the CV'S trying to show? What Purvi did was bad? Or good? If bad, then show some more people taunting her. If good, then make her answer back to everybody who looks down upon her.
But regardless of what they are showing, one thing cannot be changed. Unmarried pregnant women, especially belonging to conservative families are looked down by people of our society. Not only India, globally.
Having premarital sex is fine, but unprotected sex is not at all fine. Because in case you lend up with a baby, and no husband to claim it, your life will never be easy. If Purvi had been umarried and had come back to Sulochana's house with Pari, would she have been accepted? I don't think so.
Every culture, every society has certain reservations against such people.
Kools, Purvi = Unsolved Mysteries. We see her one way, but we were told that is not so. So, Purvi and her life are unsolved mysteries.Originally posted by: koolsadhu1000
I am very very curious . WHY did she marry Onir ? She was brave enough to face the taunts of society and be a single mother . She was a faithful lover in the sense she did NOT opt to abort the baby . She did not love Onir [ er ...the no sex to date proves that] Then why marry the first man who proposed without knowing a thing about him like clutching a straw while drowning ? Mystery girl ! Mona Lisa of PR .

We know why she got married to Onir.Btw, I think it is high time, Purvi is called out where this latest sex thing is concerned. A few days ago, Purvi propositioned Onir, whether it was duty bound or not is the mystery, at the same time Purvi is not the type of girl to have sex unless she is in love, hence the justification of her premarital sex, right? ( I can give her that), and she was refused by Onir. Now, if Onir did not refuse, would we all be having the same argument, that she is not in love with Onir only Arjun. Would the Arvi reunion be as palatable (metaphorically speaking)?Remember, Purvi propositioned Onir, and Onir refused. What if he didn't? 😉 Her body maybe be pure for Arjun, but her thoughts are surely not.😆
