Hello. Well, this is my first OS on RishBala. I have in my life written only 4 One Shots so far (on Abhiya) so I am not pro at it. I am rather very bad at writing, so all those looking out for masterpiece can give a royal skip to it 😆 And yup! My One Shots are full of conversations. I prefer conversation between the leads anyday over eye locks and kisses 🥱😆This OS basically is a continuation to the current track. This is how I would have wanted the story to proceed further. ENJOY! 😃

Summers were coming to an end, and along with them, the heated relationship RishBala shared too was getting cooled down. Three months had passed since Madhu returned to RK mansion for revenge. RK was resolving his trust issues. He had improved a lot. He almost trusted Madhu fully now. Madhu hadn't given any chance to him in these three months to doubt her. She played really well, but she was dying and breaking apart from inside because deep down she knew that she was wrong. She cared for RK but she somehow couldn't back out now after reaching so close to the climax. RK meanwhile had regained his sanity. But his ego was still intact. He had started feeling for Madhu. The feelings were deep. He knew that he cared for Madhu, he knew that he couldn't see her in pain, he knew that she was his life, but he was still confused with the big WHY! He didn't know why she meant so much to him. And his ego was just not ready to let him see and realise the obvious. But their first wedding anniversary party changed everything. Everyone from the industry was invited. It was a grand affair. After cutting the cake, Madhu was approached by a rival actor of RK for dance. She agreed and while they were grooving to the tune of RK's new release, someone's heart was aching and teeth grinding watching them dance and in close proximity. It was RK. He was clearly jealous. He tried to cool down, but when he couldn't bear Madhu getting so close to someone else, he rushed to the stage, grabbed Madhu's arm and took her to the centre stage. He performed a similar version of Holi Dance with Madhu making every cheek present there go red with embarrassment. After he finished, Madhu gave him a disgusted look and ran to their room. RK followed her.
Madhu ' What the hell were you doing downstairs? Have you gone crazy RK? You could have behaved in a decent manner.
RK ' What is my problem? What the hell is your problem? Why the hell were you getting so cozy with that Rahul? You didn't even think about my feelings for once?
Madhu ' WAIT! Your feelings or your obsession to control me? To play around with me? To possess me? Do you want me to keep such crazy things in my mind while enjoying my life RK? Are you for real?
RK pinned her to the wall. His eyes were aggressive.
RK ' SHUT UP! You are not just my obsession dammit, you're much more.
Madhu ' What more? Tell me, I am waiting. Let me see which new adjective or noun you will add in your crazy dictionary now. Apart from being your obsession and toy, have I even become your slave now Mr. Kundra? Next what'errr let me think'
While Madhu was busy attacking RK with her sarcasm, reality struck RK. He loosened his grip from her shoulders. He was confused. What was going on with him? Why did Madhu's words hurt him so much when till date he had been accepting her to be nothing more than his obsession and favourite toy? Why he was suddenly disappointed in Madhu's words? He turned around and went back to the party. He called it off and straightaway went to Radhaji's room, and rested his head on her lap.
RK ' Ma, I wanna talk to you. No, I wanna ask you something. No, I want to confess something. Eh! No, I want some answers'JUST HELP ME!
Radhaji (while smiling) ' Rishu, I know your question also and even the answer. But there's no point telling you that because you won't keep your ego aside and entertain the truth.
RK (with tears in his eyes) ' No Ma! I just want my answers. And I won't deny the truth this time. I just want to be normal like everyone else, but can't be. WHY?
Radhaji ' Problem is not with you Rishu. Problem is with your heart. You're in love my son. You're in love with Madhu. If it is the cause of all your misery, then it is also the cure to it. The reason you get so restless and insecure seeing Madhu with someone else, is because you love her but don't acknowledge it. Once you start acknowledging your own feelings, you won't come here seeking for help.
RK was gobsmacked. He couldn't believe that he was in love. He was not ready to accept it. He went to his room and saw Madhu sleeping. He went near her and caressed her cheeks. He saw her innocent face and the sadness lurking on it because of him.
RK was feeling bad.
RK ' Am I really falling for her? Or have I already fallen for her? Is it possible that I could love someone again? Is it possible that I am not unlucky in love? Am I capable enough to love Madhu? Do I deserve Madhu?
Suddenly the un-wedding night flashed infront of his eyes. The smile from his face faded away. He felt miserable and disgusted with himself.
RK ' NO. I am a bloody monster. I don't deserve an angel like her. How could you do that to her RK? How could you? She loved you so much. She trusted you so much.
RK felt disgusted with himself. He took his car keys and started driving rashly on the road. He kept thinking about all the humiliations, all the pain and all the misery he had caused to her. He remembered the good times with Madhu and how his ugly revenge took that innocent smile away from her beautiful face forever. He sped so much that ultimately he crashed into a truck.
When he opened his eyes, he saw Madhu right infront of him crying.
RK ' Mmmaadd'.
Madhu looked at him ' RK? How are you feeling now? And where did you go last night? Why the hell did you leave me alone in the house and leave? Have you lost your brain? Who the hell does that? Had something happened to you, I would have woken you up and killed you again. Do you get that? I am not going to entertain such carelessness anymore. Now reply dammit!
She started breathing heavily after speaking all that in one breath.
RK who was patiently looking at Madhu smiled a bit and said, "I love you".
Madhu stopped in between and looked at him.
Madhu ' What? What did you just say?
RK ' I love you.
Madhu ' What? RK I am in no mood to listen to jokes. I am serious.
RK ' Even I am very serious biwi. I love you.
Madhu cupped RK's face as tears rolled down her eyes.
Madhu ' Please say it again RK. Say it again and again. I love to hear it.
RK ' I love you, love you, love you, love you. I love you more than my ego. Now do you trust me?
Madhu nodded as RK gently wiped off her tears. Both started giggling.
RK ' But Madhu that doesn't mean that I forgot whatever I did to you. I realised what a monster I have been to you. And I deserve no forgiveness for it.
Madhu ' Who told you that? You are really very guilty for breaking my heart, aren't you? I am sure your love will heal my heart too. I love you RK. Love you very much.
RK ' I am sorry for whatever I did to you and to us. I still don't think that I deserve any forgiveness but trust me it is much more than the hollow apology I had asked earlier from you. I want to undo everything I did to you. I want to fill your life with love. Will you marry me Madhubala?
Madhu was elated.
Madhu ' But I want our wedding in the same place where you broke it and not any other place. I want our marriage to take place exactly in the same manner. Will you fulfil my wish?
RK ' Anything for you. But why that place only? It has so many bitter memories.
Madhu ' Because I want to erase them and replace them with the beautiful ones.
RK ' That is why I love you so much. We'll marry next month after I recover from this accident completely.
They both crashed into a tight hug.
The whole of next month passed with them going crazy for each other even more than before. There was more love in between them than air in the world. Everything had changed completely. RK showered immense love on Madhu. His heart had started beating again. He had started keeping Madhu ahead of himself and his ego. He was a completely changed person now. Even Madhu noticed it. Everyone started loving RK as a person now and not just RK as a superstar.
Finally the D day came. RK couldn't believe that he and Madhu were finally going to be one in true sense. Madhu had waited for this day since forever. She got ready and went to the alter in the same red saree. There was no one there except for her RK and the Pandit ji. She saw RK in the same blue kurta. Past memories came back haunting her infront of her eyes. RK held Madhu's hand and took her to the alter. They smiled at each other and performed the rituals. Finally they stood up for the pheras. RK completed his four pheras and now it was Madhu's turn to complete hers. Just when Madhu was about to walk, RK held the gatbandhan (the dupatta which tied them). Madhu looked back at him in dismay and RK gave an evil smirk. Madhu was shocked. She shook her head. RK came closer. Madhu's heart started beating really fast. She couldn't believe it. Suddenly RK came up to her and took her into his arms.
RK ' You thought that I was going to play the old DVD again? No way! I love you.
Just when RK completed one phera, Madhu asked him to put her down.
RK ' What happened biwi?
Madhu ' Well'.I am in no mood to marry you now. I have changed my mind.
RK started laughing.
RK ' Oh so Miss Madhubala will now play an RK on RK? Biwi I know you too well. Stop kidding. Otherwise I'll pick you up and complete the pheras.
Madhu ' Kidding you? Really RK? Whom are we both kidding? Well wait. Errmm Panditji, you may leave now. Today's drama is over. We'll call you for something more later. OK?
Panditji shook his head and left from there.
RK ' What the hell is going on here? Madhu, you better be kidding.
Madhu ' Yeah I am kidding only. I was kidding when I said that I loved you. I was kidding when I said that I wanted to marry you and I was kidding when I said that I HAD FORGIVEN YOU! I never did. I hate you RK. I hate you. I hate you for spoiling my life. I hate you for teaching me how to leave and then shatter my dreams. I hate you for making me what I am today. I hate you whenever I am unable to look at my own self into the mirror.
RK ' So were those past four months a BIG LIE?
Madhu ' No RK. Nothing was a lie. In your language, it was a game I played with you. Remember your game between a prey and a predator? The same game. But the difference is that last time I was the prey while this time you are the one.
RK ' SHUT UP MADHU!! You can't do this to me. You can't do this to us. I changed completely. I changed for you. I changed for our future. I changed for US. I repented my mistakes. I apologised also and you said that everything was fine. Then why all this?
Madhu ' Apologised? Really? Killing someone's soul and then apologising, makes things normal? Must be true for you Mr Rishabh Kundra, but not for me. A tit for tat is what you deserved. You needed to taste your own medicine. And yeah, you kept asking me if you were unlucky in love and I never really answered your question. I was waiting for today. YES RK, YES. You are unlucky in love. You do not deserve to be loved for you are not a human being but a monster. You consider people your private property. Had you loved me truly, you would have let me go and not kept me as a hostage at your place. Had you loved me enough, you wouldn't have humiliated me every day. Your love is a big lie just like you.
RK was speechless. He couldn't believe that this was HIS MADHU.
RK ' You're not my Madhu.
Madhu ' Yes, I am not your Madhu. Your Madhu died the day you betrayed her here. Your Madhu died when you revealed your plan. Your Madhu died when you left her at the chawl. Your Madhu is DEAD RK.
RK's back hit the poll behind him as he kept moving backwards in amazement. He still couldn't believe it.
Madhu ' By the way, how much would you rate my acting? It was good, right? Just like yours. Anyway, now since everything is over, I shall take your leave. And for your own good I shall advice you to forget me otherwise who knows I might strike back again. In your language, "SAYONARA".
Madhu left the alter.
RK went down on his knees and gave a loud cry. He took his face in his hands and cried all night. He looked up into the sky and shouted, "WHY ME? WHY ALWAYS ME? I had asked for forgiveness and punishment. She could have given me my punishment right then, atleast I wouldn't have changed myself for her. I did not force her into marriage. She could have asked me to let her go in the hospital only. I would have not stopped her, but why this? Why did she become like me? I never wanted that."
RK broke down. Next morning Bittooji came searching for him at the alter and saw him sleeping. RK was unconscious. Bittooji called doctor and they took him to the hospital.
Radhaji came rushing there.
Radhaji ' What happened to my Rishu Bittooji? And where is Madhu? Is she alright? Tell me.
Bittooji ' Auntyji, bhabhiji is not picking up her phone. I don't know what happened last night.
Suddenly doctor came.
Doctor ' RK suffered from nervous breakdown last night. He is not responding to any treatment. It is really difficult to save him.
Bittooji ' Doctor, this news should not be leaked in media. Chief would be treated at home.
Radhaji ' Yes doctor. I don't want his life to become a public matter now. He'll be treated at home.
Doctor ' Once he regains consciousness, we shall see. But till then prey for him.
Radhaji went to the chawl to look for Madhu. Padmini opened the door.
Radhaji ' Padminiji, is Madhu home? Rk'
Padmini ' What does your family want now Radhaji? Madhu is home and she doesn't want to see RK. They both are not together anymore. So now please leave my daughter alone. And I request you to stop barging in whenever you feel like. We are normal chawl people and do not like all the limelight.
Radhaji ' B'bb'ut, listen to me once'.
Padmini closed the door and went to Madhu's room where she too was lying like a dead body.
Padmini ' Why did you do it Madhu, if you couldn't take the pain yourself?
Madhu ' Ma, I have already told you the reason. I wanted RK to feel the same pain as I have felt. I don't care about our relationship now. I just wanted to preserve my self-respect. If he agrees to marry me with all the rituals infront of the whole world now, then I would get back to him. Otherwise, he never loved me.
Meanwhile, Radhaji and Bittooji got RK home after he regained consciousness back. His treatment continued for a month. RK kept chanting, "Madhu please don't leave me alone" in his sleep, but Radhaji and Bittooji did not call for Madhu again, for they knew she would not come after breaking his heart. Finally RK opened his eyes. His eyes kept on searching for the doe-eyed maiden.
RK ' Mmm..aaa'dd..hhh'uuu..
Radhaji ' Rishu, how are you feeling?
RK ' Ma, where is Maaaddhhhuuu?
Radhaji ' Rishu please forget about her. She doesn't deserve you. She won't come back. Accept the truth.
RK ' No Ma. She is waiting for me. She is waiting for her RK to come. I know that.
RK was still very weak. He got up from his bed and asked for car keys. Bittooji forced him to take him along but RK refused.
RK went to the chawl to see Madhu, but what struck his eyes was a distasteful sight. Madhu was hugging Sultan and then Sultan and Madhu took blessings of Padmini. RK understood everything. Madhu and Sultan were together all throughout her plan and she fooled him. She did not want to make him realise his mistakes, but wanted to take revenge along with Sultan. Meanwhile what actually was taking place at the chawl was that Sultan was leaving for Dubai with Aryan and kaka forever and had come to bid final good bye. Madhu hugged him for being a sport and true friend while when Sultan was seeking Padmini's blessings, Madhu had bent down to pick up Aryan and play with him for the last time.
RK went home and broke everything in his room. He again broke down. His eyes were full of tears and were blood red.
RK ' Madhu, you really proved to be a great actress. You took revenge from me with the help of that Sultan? Was my love so weak? Now you'll see the real RK.
RK went to chawl and barged into Madhu's house.
RK ' MADHU!!!!!
Padmini and Madhu came running out.
Madhu ' RK?
She came closer to him. As she raised her hand to touch his face, he held her hand. And gestured her to stay away.
RK ' So Miss Madhubala Shamsher Malik, oops is it Mrs Madhubala Sultan dash dash now? How are you? Oh! You must be feeling miserable seeing me alive, right? Sorry to burst your pink bubble, but I did not die so early. Now cry. Come on Madhu, don't disappoint me. You're supposed to cry seeing me alive.
Madhu ' Shut up RK. What are you speaking? After a month, you've returned to take your venom out on me? Why are you talking like this?
RK ' Oh! Madhubala is feeling bad? You didn't feel bad for me when you were double timing? You didn't feel bad when you changed me into another person and then left me? You didn't even feel a little bit bad for me when I was in the hospital struggling with my life that you didn't even come once to see me? Sultan didn't allow?
Madhu ' RK? You were in the hossp'
RK ' Oh shut up now. Don't try to act. You might be a very good actress, but I can see through you clearly now.
Madhu ' Why are you here?
RK ' To make your life a living hell.
RK gave an evil smirk.
Madhu ' Really? How? Revenge is old now RK. I won't fall in your trap again.
RK ' Who's making you fall darling? This time no back stabbing. Everything would be happening face to face. Earlier you were a stranger to me, then you became my enemy, then my obsession and finally my love. Now you're a game I'll play. Come with me.
Madhu ' Stop with your nonsense RK and leave. I am in no mood to hear the crap.
RK ' Saasu ma, oops ex-saasu ma, where is your husband? My sasurji? Your daughter is not ready to come with me. So call him from shoot. We'll put him behind bars together.
Madhu ' What the hell are you talking about?
RK ' You forgot? You conveniently forgot about the marriage contract and those 40 lakhs Madhu?
RK handed over those papers to Madhu.
RK ' According to them, till the time your daddy dearest doesn't return my money back, you'll stay with me and do as I say.
Madhu ' B..bbb'.u..t RK, I thought'
RK ' You thought that I forgot about them? Well, yes. I had forgotten about them. But my memory is really sharp, so I remembered again. Now come with me sweetheart.
RK held Madhu's hand. Padmini tried to butt in but Madhu gestured her to not interfere.
Madhu ' RK please don't do this. Why are you repeating the same story again?
RK ' I asked the same thing at the alter. Why didn't you answer me then? Had you not betrayed me, I wouldn't have become like this.
RK dragged her down to his car and locked her inside. Instead of going to RK mansion, he turned towards the studio.
Madhu ' Why are we going to the studio RK? What is going on?
RK ' Shut up and wait.
They reached the studio and RK forcefully dragged her inside.
RK ' Bittooji, is everything ready?
RK ' Mr Kashyap, I promised to find a new heroine for our movie myself. Here is our new heroine. Mind you, she doesn't need any screen tests or auditions. She has already passed them with flying colours and the actress she is, WOW! She even amazed me once. But she can give a demo atleast, right Madhu?
Madhu ' What is this RK? You know that I don't know how to act and I hate it. Are you crazy?
RK ' You don't know how to act? Stop lying Madhu. Remember you had asked about your acting at the alter? I couldn't reply back then but I must say you deserve an Oscar for that. You had beaten me in my own game. OK look, I hate you completely. You hate me more than I hate you. But somehow we both can't kill each other. But even after that, you know I am not mahaan types, don't you? Now you'll stay infront of my eyes 24*7. You'll be my 4 pheron ki biwi and my co-actress. We'll break each-other at home as well as the set. No facade, no revenge, everything on the face. Howzzat?!
Madhu ' You've gone crazy RK.
RK ' For you baby! And because of you. But this time, I won't be obsessed with you, because I don't want to possess you like last time. You can go and spend time with anyone, even that Sultan. I don't care.
Madhu ' Stop it RK. Sultan is nothing to me.
RK (yawning) ' Biwi, acting has to be done there (he gestured towards the place near the Producer) and not here. Now be a good girl, think about your Maalik and the jail and come with me.
RK dragged Madhu there and shouted, "LIGHTS, CAMERA and ACTION"
Spotlight fell on Madhu's face and her eyes on RK.

So guys, how was it? I know it was very very long. But somehow I stay away from FFs and SSs, so kept it an OS only. And it was more of a story than a one shot 😆.This is how I want the track to proceed. RK was to drag Madhu to films. So this revenge from Madhu is the perfect foundation for that. I don't know what'd happen in the show. But I want a revenge track because I want a heroine track after that.
