(Taani' Dress)

The rest of the day goes by as slow as possible. It's as if Krishnaji wanted to rub the fact that Rey was no longer mine in my face by making me stay inside these 4 walls that held the most precious memories of our relationship.

I'm tired. I just want to go home, and fall asleep. This is all too much for me to bear. I mean, how long can I exactly ignore Rey for? One day or another, I'm going to have to talk to him.

Deep in my thoughts, I walk down the hall. I don't even feel someone grab me and pull me inside the fire exit until I'm slammed against the wall. I look up scared.

"What do you think you're doing huh? Wearing such a short dress." He shouts at my face. Anger burns in my throat, and the words are out before I can stop them.

"Let me go, goddammit. What do you think of yourself Rey? You are no longer my boyfriend and I can wear anything I want. Heck, I don't even care about your opinion anymore. I can't believe that I was mourning over the fact that I lost you. All you know how to do is be aggressive. I don't have the time and energy to waste on you okay? So stop being so goddamn difficult." I shout back.

"I'm being difficult? You're the one who broke up with me without even listening to me. You're the one who said all those things to me and didn't even bother to look back even once."

"I said all those things, because you deserve it. You deserve every piece of shit that gets thrown your way. I want you to feel what I felt in those 2 seconds when I heard you talk to Sharon. I want you to feel all the pain I've felt since I came here, and all because of you." I'm practically in tears by now, but there's too much in my mind to stop. "I've completely changed. I'm no longer the bubbly Taani who smiled all the time. Now, I've become this mess and it's all because of you. I've become this girl who smiles in front of everyone, takes everyone's insults and then goes home and cries. I have no one Rey. No one. Why did you have to tell me you loved me Rey? I was perfectly fine before."

"I told you I love you because I do." His voice is so quiet and soft and if I weren't standing right in front of him I would have never heard him. My sorrow is once again filled with anger.

"You love me huh? Fine, let's see." I grab his and storm out of the fire exit. I can feel everyone's eyes on us, but my legs keep moving. I get into the projector room where bhai and Sharon are.

As I slam the door, Sharon and Bhai stand up from their seats alerted. "Taani's what's wrong?"

"Bhai, do you love Sharon?" Bhai looks at Sharon with an un easy expression and then back at me.

"Uh Taani, why are you aski-"

"I said, do you love Sharon?" Bhai looks down and doesn't say anything.

"Answer me god dammit." I scream at the top of my lungs.

Everyone in the room jumps a little but silence still fills the place. I'm about to yell again when I hear bhai softly say yes. I turn to Rey.

"Did you hear that Rey? Bhai loves Sharon. He loves her. He loves her so much that he even shouted at his own sister for her. Someone he has known his whole life. Someone he shares a blood relation with. He shouted at me for Sharon."

"Taani, I said sorry about that." Bhai says from the side.

"No bhai, it's not even about that. I just want to show Rey the big difference between your love for Sharon and Rey's so-called love for me. So tell me Rey, when did you stand up for me? When your friends were mocking me for not being a dancer? When they were calling me names and basically laughing at me? Huh? When? Were you there when I was crying my eyes out in my bedroom? Were you there when all those nasty comments about me were being made on the college website? No, you weren't. But you were there to listen to your friends taunt me. And not once did it come to your mind, about how I would be feeling. No, all you need is your friends' happiness right? So now you have it so for god sakes leave me alone." I stomp out of the room, not wanting to stay in that place any longer.

Everything I had been holding in for days had just bursted out in a moment of seconds. Funny thing is, I don't even regret it because honestly speaking, it was too much for me to handle. It feels amazing to get that off my chest.

As I'm walking down the hallway, I smile a little and soon that smile turns into a small laugh. It's been days since I've smiled and it feels wonderful to be free. Even though I know I'll always love Rey, It's time to give myself a chance.

That was well done! I felt like I got a lot off my chest when she finally burst.

DAMN that was AWESOME. Loved what Taani said. Her outburst was perfectly justified, but at the same time I hated how she compared Rey's love for her with Swayam's love for Sharon. She shouldn't have done that. But whatever it's just a story. No big deal.
