Like majority of you in the forum I am also a big IPKKND fan. Always I had imagined many scenarios how Shyam's truth could have played out. I have been following quite a lot of FF's and read numerous OS, SS based on IPKKND or just Arnav/Kushi in a different storylines with same characteristics arrogant Arnav and ever chirpy Kushi.
One of the OS Moving On by - Molten_lava which I absolutely loved the way it handled the truth. If you haven't read it earlier link here

Though in this one Arnav and Kushi don't get their happily ever after the woman in me loved this ending. Where Kushi really stands tall forgiving Arnav in her own way and moving on instead of becoming app hamare pati hai and you can abuse me mentally and physically and I will take everything and be on your side with no self respect!!
I don't believe in love which is self deprecating. Even in the serial Kushi's character is not etched that way initially but what with TRP, Barun taking a break must have taken a toll on the character sketch. The selfless, ever smiling with a beautiful soul Kushi kind of faded away in the commercial pressure.
So coming to the point I am planning to write a series of OS/SS depending on the length, playing out how the truth about Shyam could have been handled without marring Kushi's beautiful character.
The title is going to be IPKKND Shyam's Truth Revealed-V1 (version1)...Well people who are in IT field would understand the version and releases😊
Without much fuzz here we go ...
IPKKND Shyam's Truth Revealed Version1:
This version is dedicated to Payal the silent yet strong supportive and a very affectionate sister when there need be will stand by her younger sibling and family. Like the way she daringly fought with ASR when he dropped Khushi home after the collapsed guest house disaster. Over a period of time we lost her character essence as well to the TRP.
ASR was waiting for Payal in the same cafe where they had met just a week ago. He was totally surprised by Payal's request to meet him privately in the cafe. To top it her request for keeping this a secret including from Akash was kind of unsettling him. He was wondering probably craziness runs in the family after all she is Khushi's sister.
Payal was ten minutes late and she apologised mentioning something about not getting a rickshaw and traffic. She seemed very edgy and almost on the verge of nervous breakdown. Arnav remembered the first time he met her after the guest house disaster, where she had slaughtered his ego with her simple words. She always came across as a simple person but fiercely protective about her younger sibling. The quality he appreciated in her.
He asked her 'is everything ok Payal? Is there any problem because of Mami? He asked. She just nodded. He didn't understand the way she was nodding. He asked her again, 'what's bothering you Payal you can share it with me like your elder brother after all I am going to be your brother-in-law. He didn't expect her to break down. It become really awkward because people started noticing and ASR being seen in public with crying women doesn't bode well with his reputation. He was losing his patience and in the verge of losing his famous temper.
Luckily Payal composed herself and told him 'Arnavji whatever truth I am going to share is going to change all our life irrevocably. And I request you to keep your temper in check before blaming anyone or taking hasty decisions which will only make things worse.
He was getting really annoyed with her high handedness talking about his temper and told 'Stop talking to me in riddles and come directly to the point. I don't have a whole day'.
Payal said 'Its about your DI and shyamji '
Arnav's immediate reaction was WHAT?? He was so loud people from other tables turned around. Arnav realised this is not the place to talk. She was crying first and now saying its about Di his life. So he immediately decided to leave the place and take her somewhere more private without any hindrance.
He pay the bill and told her 'Let's leave I don't think we will get the privacy we need in this place to talk' Payal agreed and followed him to his car.
He took her to the same place where Akash tried committing suicide and waited for Payal to talk. He didn't realise the truth she is going to reveal is going to shatter his life his Di.
Payal started telling him that Khushi engagement has been broken because they have found out that he was a married man. First he was shocked but later felt elated and small smile formed in his lips. Payal saw that and was wondering what that was about. When Arnav realised Payal watching him intently and questioning him for his smile he said very nonchalantly that he and Lavanya have mutually agreed to part ways as well since they don't love each other. And they will be telling the family only after Akash and her engagement since Lavanya didn't want any more problems created by Mami. Payal didn't know what to say whether to feel sad for Lavanya or happy for her sister that she might get a chance with her love. Oh yes Payal knows unlike her pagal sister that those acidity and dhak dhak are caused by this laadgovernor sitting in front of her who doesn't seem to be heartbroken at all with the breakup. He is talking as if a business deal didn't go through. Is he really a rakshas like Khushi calls him with no emotions? For a moment she wondered did she make mistake of coming to him instead of Akash.
There is no going back now. She will tell him the truth and hope that her honesty and Khushi's love for him and his sister will make him see the bigger picture. So she told him everything. From the time Shyam saved Khushi from the goons to getting her a job in AR. How he claimed himself to be orphan and stayed with them as paying guest. How he got into the good books of Buaji and how Khushi was forced into the engagement because of the comments written in the walls during the Diwali night.
She also mentioned they came to know about Shyams marital status when Khushi attended the pooja at shanthivan. And they were not aware that he was Anjaliji's husband until then. Khushi has broken the engagement with Shyam but he has come home and threatened that if we reveal the truth to Anjaliji he will break Akash-Payal wedding and will put the whole blame on Khushi saying that she trapped him.
Arnav didn't know how to react. He didn't know what to believe. He felt totally numb by the revelations. Shyam who he had looked unto as mentor and his Di who literally worships him like god. How is it possible? Probably Khushi did trap Shyam. Payal is coming out clean because she wants to marry Akash and doesn't want any problems in her marital life.
But the next words Payal mentioned brought Arnav back to earth with a jolt. I know Arnavji you might think that I have come here because of my marriage but trust me it's not that. After we came to know about the real character of Shyam my conscience didn't allow me to keep quite. My marriage might get called off if Shyam has his evil ways. I am not worried about that at the moment we will deal with the heartbreak and disgrace later. But in the small time Khushi and I have known Anjaliji we have come to love her immensely and respect her a lot. She is very kind soul and she doesn't deserve a husband like Shyam who is married to her only for her money and status. Khushi did go to your place today morning to tell the truth to Anjaliji but unfortunately Di's mangalsutra broke and she became quite hysterical. Khushi couldn't break her heart revealing the truth seeing her condition. Khushi feels if she is so heartbroken because of a mangalsutra she was not sure how she would react to the true colours of her husband whom she seems to literally worship. Khushi wanted to give Shyam a chance to mend his ways with Di. Khushi is scared for Anjaliji's heart break. She is really worried for you since she told Anjaliji is your world. But ho pagal hai she doesn't understand vile characters like Shyam can never change. I know it's quite heart breaking and very difficult to believe the truth but you need to be strong for your sister and protect your sister.
Though ASR didn't believe in god first thing that came to his mind why me god? Why Di? why she has to go through similar to what his mother went through? He remembered Khushi crying on his shoulders on the day of the pooja. When he asked about her fianc she cried even more. How his Di introduced Shyam to her for the first time even though she had been working there for quite some time. She declined the offer from Shyam to drop her home. Everything came back to him. Everything fit in like a puzzle.
He believed Payal. He appreciated the honesty and the integrity of her character. He was the reason for breaking of her first marriage but still she came to him to tell the truth without worrying about the consequences. Is this the middleclass mentality he has been cursing Khushi about then he thought ASR needs some reality check. He turned to Payal thanked her for being honest and asked her few more questions to clarify his doubt. He told Payal that her wedding will not be called off and assured her that he will take care of things and make things right. He also requested her not to share this meeting with anyone in the family including Khushi and dropped her near home.
First thing first to set things right he needs to get back into ASR mode. His jijaji is a scumbag. Oh well he is not his jijaji anymore not after knowing the full truth. His Di will be heartbroken he will support her and time should help her heal. Well if time heals why he hasn't gotten over is parent's demise yet. First time in his life he prayed for strength to sail through this ordeal with Di.
He was wondering how life can be cruel sometimes. He was very happy after talking to Lavanya in the morning who made him realise he had feelings for Khushi and it was high time he accepted and acted upon it. But fate had very different plan altogether. Probably he should pursue Khushi and ask her to marry him. It will save her from that scumbag and probably will help his Di come around.
Well now he needs to watch Shyam closely to bring out the truth and make his Di see the true colours of the scumbag. He will need to talk to Akash.
Note: Well I believe elder sibling always protects you looks out for you and the bonding sisters share is very special.
