Taran Adarsh reviews

I want to know if Taran Adarsh reviews are objective (trustworthy?) since Taran is a respected critic.

Of late, he seems to have lost objectivity, esp when it comes to Khans (eg. Ra1), AB films. His reviews are mostly gushing-fawning pieces. It's like he knows them & so can't displease them by writing negatively.

Deepa Gehlot is the exact opposite. Even the most flawless film is trashed by her acidic writeups. Case in point, HAHK was first trashed as an excess of sweetness, then a week later (when theatres were still going houseful), she rewrote a somewhat balanced piece.

Usually we read the reviews to decide whether or not to watch a movie, especially with the ticket prices. Plus I have two young kids, so I rely majorly on reviews. My point is, if the review is not a balanced one (or at least tries to be) then it's useless.
