Aishwarya Rai had many critics in the days after she gave birth, since she gained a lot of weight and didn't lose it immediately, like many Hollywood stars.
Today, when baby Aaradhya is nearly a year and a half old, Aishwarya seems to be back to her pre-baby shape, or as close to it as possible.
Of course, her body is still a far cry from her Miss World days but most would agree that she is still one of the most beautiful women in the world.
If you look at Aishwarya Rai's photographs from this time last year, you see that she still had quite a bit of weight although when she wore a sari with a waist-length blouse, she still managed to look quite lovely.
In the most recent photo, however, you can see that all traces of the double chin are gone and although Rai still seems to prefer covering up her body from neck to toe, she's definitely on the slimmer side.
We were wondering if her reluctance to appear in any movies recently was due to insecurities about her weight. If so, Aishwarya Rai definitely has nothing to worry about.
Besides, it's an open secret that, in Hollywood, most actresses get plastic surgery immediately after having babies.
This is how a woman is able to have a flat stomach just one week after having a baby.
Just because Aishwarya Rai chose not to have plastic surgery doesn't mean that she should be criticized.
