Hope am not very late this time. Since, asked u abt the epi...so, thought of sharing my views here. 😳 Please bear with me one more time..😆
My two cents...
Gosh...I feel like strangling the editor today!! WHAT in the world did they do?? Ruined such a lovely episode with all the editing glitches!!
Now that i've vented about this...coming to my take. 😆
Zoya is utterly confused about her own emotions. She wants Asad to confess...to tell her that he loves her n that he wants to spend his life with her. About her own feelings...she is not paying heed to the voices emanating from her heart. She's in a DDLJ world...where, she is waiting for her Mr. Khan to say that he loves her...and opens his arms...so that she runs to him n he envelopes her in his firm embrace..never letting her go...so that they live happily ever after!
But Asad ain't Raj...n their story ain't like DDLJ!! Asad is never gonna say n do all this...and Zoya has maybe, learnt to deal with it also. She is being a mere spectator to the turn of events...she has left everything to him. She herself is hiding from her feelings, behind the curtain of this sher-o-shayari...these funny arguments...that pizza slice...and that can of diet coke. Maybe, she is scared to face her own feelings. She is not ready for a heartbreak. If she realizes that she loves Asad...but he doesn't has the same feelings for her...then, she won't be able to bear it. We even saw glimpses of it today. Whenever Asad said that he won't let this nikah happen...the fear of her heart was sooo visible on her face!
So, not letting the mind 'think' about it, is her way of dealing with her own feelings. Or, maybe...she is just following the golden rule.."ignorance is bliss"!
As for Asad...his past, his insecurities, his ego, and Zoya's repeated denials...he is also no less confused than Zoya. But one thing is VERY clear...he will NEVER go for a 'forced marriage/nikah'. He is very sure about his feelings for Zoya...he realizes them...accepts them. And today also...he tried to gather her mind, when he asked "ap mujh se nikah kerna chahti hein.."? Again a NO from Zoya..and Asad backed off!! Third time now??!!
He will never impose himself on Zoya! The girl increases his confusion at times. Her shayari was the last thing he wanted to hear...but he was ever-so-calm with her.
These developments..Dilshad's decision..they all are very sudden for him. He needs time for his mind to accept all this. Its not that Asad runs away from commitment...its just that he needs that final push, where he realizes that him n Zoya are meant to be TOGETHER! He needs time to come out of that mode where he thinks that love is not meant for him...and that he will hurt Zoya if he allows her to come near him. His insecurites are the barrier...which he needs to cross...and what I feel is...he needs a confirmed 'signal' from Zoya...just like Zoya wants from him!
As of now...things are moving at such a rapid pace...where Asad hasn't got any chance to comprehend them. Thus..this denial persists. He can't allow himself to enter into a relationship which is 'forced or fake'. Besides...love...marriage...he has seen the worst fate of these two. That is why Zoya's plan of going for a 'fake nikah' was outrightly rejected by him. He cannot make a joke of these sacred rituals. Also, the way he has seen 'real' nikahs break...there stands no future for a 'fake' one...thus, it is n never be acceptable to him.
You kno, I second Asad here!! There is no thing as 'fake nikah'. Hope Gul n Co don't tread on this path! It is a very sensitive one!
Talking of Dilshad...she defo should get the best dramebaaz award. She is sure...101% sure...that these two love each other. And she is also aware, that coz of their own reasons, they won't accept n confess. That is why, she did all this act! If she didn't...Asad-Zoya would've never taken the step...of going for the 'real' engagement!
The editor left no stone un-turned in messing up this scene. It came from no where..was completely out of place. Still...after it started...it was magical!
Zoya asked Asad..."think again, Mr. Khan..this time, its a 'real' engagement'.
Asad looked at Dilshad...and she nodded him to go ahead.
She asked him this question...and Asad responded...not by words...but by his gesture. He gently held her hand...his own hand trembling with the touch. Her palm lay blisfully on his palm...and he slipped that piece of diamond back to where it belongs. This time...the deal is 'official'...and REAL!!
Zoya was basking in the warmth of his touch and in the serenity of his loving gaze. Her eyes were moist...yet they were happily connected with his throughout that ritual. The ring finally reached its place...and shone with all its glory!
Asad's action answered her question...and his heart...in fact, their hearts were saying nothing else but..

What perfect lyrics. Zoya in red...Asad's fav color on her. Perfect setting...(completely ignoring Tannu here)!
Hope that we get to see what actually happened b/w the scene where Asad declares that he won't have a fake marriage..n then, them getting engaged. CVs, you better make up for this one!!
Lastly...one random thought. Zoya said that "you also try running away from this nikah, like I have done thrice.." Of course, Asad won't run..lol! But is it in some way hinting that circumstance take such a turn...Tannu lays such a plan...where Zoya runs away from her nikah?? Really hope this doesn't happen! Running thrice is more than enough...this time, it is her 'home coming'. She can't run away from her soulmate. Bhaagey gi bhi toh he will get her back :))
Instead of her... Tannu...can you please run away somewhere...never to come back again?!! 😃
