Akshay Kumar in Commando 2

Filmmaker Vipul Amrutlal Shah,
who has worked worked with
Akshay Kumar in films such as
Waqt: The Race Against Time and
Singh Is Kinng, chose to work
with debutant Vidyut Jamwal in
his recently released film,
Commando. But for Commando 2,
Shah will collaborate with his
favourite actor Akshay again,
however in a different way.
Currently shooting with Akshay,
Shah plans to bring him into the
sequel of Commando as a
consultant and adviser.
"Akshay is the best action hero in
the country. He was the most
excited when we started
Commando with Vidyut and, in
fact, we'd have liked Akshay to
participate more in Commando.
But he was busy. Now in
Commando 2, we definitely
intend to bring Akshay in," said
Shah.
About his equation with Akshay,
he said, "Akshay and I don't need
to explain our association to the
cynics and trouble-makers. I am
not insecure about him at all. Our
relationship has withstood the
test of time."
As for his next directorial
venture, Shah says, "We are
working on a project that I will
direct. But at the moment, I am
on the locations of the Hindi
remake of Tamil hit Thupakki."
The original film was directed by
A R Murugadoss. "Director
Murugadoss is completely
capable of looking after the
project. But as the producer, I
have to be there to ensure that
my director's vision is not
compromised in any way," he
adds.
