@riti, even Sati was a compelete form of Goddess Aadi Shakti, that's why she could appear as 10 Mahavidyas before going to Daksh's yagya. DKDM version of Sati was bad. Only thing is Devi had made it clear to Daksh while giving him boon, that she will be his daughter as long as he respects her & her husband, the moment he insults her husband she will leave him & go. Even today without 10 Mahavidyas Parvati is shown weak.

Well from what i know Uma(SATI) was the daugther of Daksh and Pavarati/Gauri are daugther of Himavan ( Himalyan)

in my pov i dont consider them as different goddesses. they r one and the same.😃
