did lord Shiva had wife before Sati/Parvathi?

i think , the devtas and all were trying to make shakti and shiva meet but they couldnot , i think as mentioned in the serial it was 108 times since shakti took a birth to be with shiva but coulldnot due to some or other reasons . so , lord shiva was shown to be having worn a ring of heads of skulls . but , really didnot married before sati and parvati . . .

Adishakti has taken 108 births but Shiv has married Adishakti Sati first and than Parvati who is his consort for life.

I may be wrong about this please feel free to correct me. I head or read somewhere that Lord Shiva rejected one adi-shakti avatar because the avatar was frighting to lord shiv.

dear uma is another name for parvati herself.

Well from what i know Uma(SATI) was the daugther of Daksh and Pavarati/Gauri are daugther of Himavan ( Himalyan)

Please mention your source, where such a thing is writen.

i dont think shiva had any wife b4 sati and parvathi.

Shakti was born as Sati first.. as Daksha has got a boon as per Devi Puran ( Enlightened by Meenu di )

And Sati was not a complete form of Adishakti.. She couldn't include adishakti's power in herself properly so The marriage couldnt be succeded ...

And Shiva never had a wife ... LOL how could shiva be married to any one else rather than adishakti Shiva and shakti was the creator of there own.. Shiva was Shav and providing E from shakti he kept his name Shiv these are just stories to make people understand.. Puranas were Sadhu's and Rishi muni's imagination which they saw in a very complicated version in their meditation but they simplified those as Puranas.
