I don't understand why the engagement needs to be saved. Its not like Nikhat will live happily after marrying Imran. And plus, as much as I hate Haseena Bi and her evil plotting ways, she was right in one point... that she had specifically asked Razia and Shireen about who is Asad Ahmed Khan and they had outrightly lied to her, which is not right. So no matter what Asad would have done, fact would remain that these people too are wrong in hiding this matter and lie about it...

In a sense I'm happy that Nikhat's engagement was called of because it would be hard for her after marriage if the family is rude to her maternal family, and I was expecting Ayaan and Asad to do something

True... Nikhat and Imran seem to like each other and Imran is not such a bad person. But Nikhat would have to stay along with Haseena also after marriage. So she will have to deal with more insults and taunts even after marriage. And I'm not sure to what extent Imran is capable of taking Nikhat's side and supporting her. Even when Haseena was blasting the entire family for the Asad matter, Imran didn't say a word or support Nikhat. He even let the engagement break off...

Secondly now all the blame has gone on asad that cause of his closeness to ayaan the engagement had to be called off so asad would not be able to forgive himself as cause of him(what mamujaan feels) the engagement broke so atleast if he would come and reveal the whole haseena and her brother's fiasco atleast both of them would have been proved innocent and maybe imran would have supported nikhat after that

I agree with this. Since now all the blame seems to be put on Asad, it would be better if the entire family comes to know about the true extent to which Haseena and Feroz plotted and how Feroz tortured Ayaan, etc.

1. Lastly though they hid the reality from her which even i agree was wrong but what was nikhat and imran's fault in that they are unnecessarily being punished for something which they have not done

So all in all if there would have been a little more drama, a lot more of asad and atleast an attempt to save the engagement maybe haseena would have not had an option but to continue with the engagement and maybe which is not totally possible though she would have accepted nikhat as her daughter in law afterall

I guess I can't see past Haseena's evil, taunting nature and hence can't really feel that it would have been a nice thing if the engagement had happened; although I agree that Nikhat did not deserve to go through the pain of a broken engagement...
