Yes, it has to be a more holistic system, overseas viewers, repeat viewership on YouTube etc, forum postings, debates, reviews all these indicators of popularity are not even looked into

I hope that IPKKND earlier and SC now shows the channels and sponsors that TRP is not a true measure of the viewership of the show

Alright, I finally got a chance to catch up with the episode.

The editing and dubbing was totally off today. It was so distracting. It seemed like the episode was put together hastily. Maybe the channel suggested some changes at the last minute for increasing TRPs and PH had to oblige! SLB himself admitted SP has more experience with TRPs and will suggest changes in the story for improving TRPs as and when needed. SP is all about the numbers, they dont care about the quality sadly. Some changes are to be expected in a modern day adaption made into a daily soap. As long as the changes are reasonably logical, they don't butcher the characters, make the story kektaish and destroy the essence of the old world romance and values, SC will be worth watching.

Today's episode seemed to be an experiment with a little of romance and evil, scheming relatives drama thrown in. Thankfully we saw very little of Guman and kaki.

Old wine in new bottle toh tha but Samud's chemistry still makes it unique. I enjoyed their scenes purely from the romance point of view. They had a conversation today. Again, I have not seen too many shows where leads have a decent conversation with each other. Does Dikra even realize he is teasing her, flirting a little bit? He had to talk about the sketch she drew of his eyes! Dude, what are you upto? She is struggling to be indifferent and not get affected with all the mixed signals he gives! Yet she seeks his opinion on the bangles. She is still searching for answers, asks whether he would have returned to Dubai if he did not have to build the school, does he have a girlfriend? Is he in love with someone? Was a previous romantic relationship turning sour responsible for his decision not to marry? Bechari Kumud.

Some adorable moments today were - his smile on seeing the bangles she bought, her embarrassment at being caught and blaming shopkeeper for packing the wrong bangles and ofcourse the chai romance' super cute. Today I noticed Dikra did look for her lipstick mark on the cup but did not drink from the same spot. It was not clear in the precap yesterday. That would be inappropriate for him to do at this stage I guess. I don't get why Kumud was so taken aback at him drinking from her cup though. They have eaten from the same plate at Ila's. His smile when he asks why the char kadam ki doori and she changes the topic, to die for.

Guess who is having trouble remembering to maintain the char kadam ki doori. Again, so cute the way he moves back when she goes towards to help open the shutter or walks towards him to stop him from drinking the chai, goes towards him to tie kerchief on his arm. 😆

This village seems to have a jinx of some sort. Almost daily, one of them injures themselves and the other tends to the injury.😆

Nandy you really underestimate yourself..or is it too much modesty huh? :)) You write awesomeee! :D ok let me begin with saying that I do not care about TRPs, channel requirements, numbers, figures etc.. I watch what I like..beyond that I dont care..I honestly believe that the journey of their lovestory has been gradual and well paced.. It was about time for them to get away from their family and assocaited problems and just get to know each other...start fresh..which is what happened and which is what i liked.. Most love stories we see on TV have same scenes and almost same kind of presentaion..I have lost count of the number of times I have seen girl and boy fall on top of each other, tripping falling , eyelocks and couples getting stuck in an old barn with bonfire and song playing in the bg..Here the presentation of scenes is fresh even if the scene is not...thats what I like..In todays episode I loved their expressions throughtout.. Yes Saras didnt touch her lipstick mark with his lips..would have been rather bold LOL but his expressions in that scene were too good! who could imagine sanyasi Saras to be that naughty😆 In the bangle scene, when he disapproves the green colored ones, I thought he looked like Aamir Khan..😳 Kumud's expression when she says why is your smile so expensive and when she throws water on him..loved it<3 In the end when he asks why did she ask to keep 4 feet distance..boyyy!!!!! his eyes! wicked. ;)) so yeah! I loved the episode *runs to watch again* :D

Agree on the awesome writing of Infofan

Par yeh madam to manti nahin hai

Oh yes, the way he looked at the lipstick mark but didn't touch it - naughty but not cheesy, he was flirtatious, but in a Saras kind of way,

and she finally smiling at him and enjoying being around him was even more significant, she was such a sadoo around him!

Not only romance in other serials is hackneyed, the story logic is missing and there is no conviction

So SC still rates very high on all counts
