Okay ,
So before I begin my post I want to firmly emphasize on the fact that this has nothing to do with the actors or bias towards a character. It's just me analyzing meera's character and giving you her viewpoint.

Meera was in love with Ani. She got pregnant after he died. She wanted to meet his family and discovers he already had a wife. The wife came to her and begged her to go to her house for 2 days .
The wife finds out. She verbally abuses Meera. Everyone in her botfriend's house found out about her pregnancy. After that , her boyfriend's father cried and pleaded to her to stay. She was reluctant for his wife. But now she is living there. , she tries to tell the wife but she never listens to her and tells at her. No one in the house likes her.

Question 1 : why is she keeping the baby ?
Answer : she loved Anirudh. And no matter how many mistakes he made it doesn't change the fact he died and this is the last thing remaining of him. She wants to be a mother , care for her child . Is that wrong ?

Question 2 : she can keep the baby but why is she living in this house despite all the abuse?
Answer : I don't like many of my family members but after my dad died I have to put up with them not because I like them simply because I think of my dad up there. She thinks she has no right to seperate the last thing remaining of ani's from his family. She is putting her baby first. Wouldn't her baby want to know who her father is ? Who her father's family are ? Any mother would do that

Question 3: why is she shoving this illegitimate child through everyone's throats?
Answer : this baby is only illegitimate because Anirudh didn't sign a paper with meera . But he was with her for 2 years , it was only the two of them loving each other and to meera this baby is not illegitimate. Who is the society to tag her baby ?

Question 4: what about nandini ?
Answer : should an innocent child be punished just because his or her dad didn't give public recognition to his mother ? This baby is anirudh's and they have equal or more rights than nandini as per law.

Emotionally : meera didn't intentionally do anything . Things worked out like that.
And we are not always at our best. Our brains are not always giving us rational judgements

more rights than nandini??? seriously?? after reading ur post i think i should go have premarital sex and get preggers outta wedlock, it'll probably be better than getting married respectfully. kinda sad what our society has come to. now girls who have premarital sex have more rights and gain more sympathy than a girl who married someone and treated the mariage like a sacred bond but was only used by her hubby and then neglected by her in-laws because their's son's illegtimate gf can now provide an illegitimate child 🤢

under no country's law does meera have more right than nandini on anything. she got no right at all. she's an adult who consented to sex with ani, an adult who by choice had unprotected sex, no court or law is gonna give her any right for anything. child has right of money support that's all.

Yes , more rights than nandini. Not because she had premarital sex and has a baby in her womb but because she is the mother of anirudh's baby. By law , she has more rights than nandini.
Well there are many women getting pregnant out of wedlock but that's not stopping them from mothering a child.
I personally don't believe in a social tag of marriage. Love is love and its above all , this baby has all rights as ani's baby.
And what is nandini's age anyway ? Why should she spend the rest of her life mourning her cheater husbands death ? She has her whole life in front of her
I think it's good in a way
She can now move on and find herself a new husband or family
Meera chose this life
Nandini was never given the option
She was just there

exactly my point. meera chose this life. she chose life of sleeping around, of getting preggers without marraige, she chose it so now why should nandini pay for the choice meera made?

in your eyes maybe. but not in any court or under any law. she has NO right at all. on anything! you don't beleive in marriage, i don't either, but our society law does, and according to that Meera had no relationship with ani and has no rights to claim to be his wife.

Why should anis baby be deprived of their family because his father married another women. ?
Nandini is not bound to suffer anything
She doesn't want to stay with the baby
She can leave
She stayed back by her own will

She doesn't claim to be his wife .
And you can check India's laws
Mistress , long time partner and wives have equal rights
And her baby has all right to anis house
Due to which as the mother of the baby she does too

and every right on what? right to be called ani's wife? NO! right to take away nandini's place? NO! right to live in that house? NO! she has the right to be called an unwed mother who's gonna have an illegitamate child, that's all that she is.
