New to the show...?

I just started watching this show with Friday's episode where Zoya pretends to have chicken pox to avoid deportation. I really want to watch it because everyone is always talking about it and I think the lead pair look cute and funny together. Unfortunately, I don't have time to go back and watch every episode. So, would some of you mind giving me some clarification? Who is the lady in pink who's staying with them but has something against Zoya? She's the one with the light colored eyes. Also, can someone give me a quick summary of the plot?

The lady is tanveer who is supposebly Asad's childhood friend she has entered about a month ago I think. She has something against zoya because she is planning to make zoya leave both for her purpose and razias purpose (who wants zoya to leave because she is the illegitimate child of her husband). And tanveer wants zoya to leave so she can marry asad because she is pregnant and wants asad to father her baby, and wants to prove to the world that she can marry a high class man (she is a prostitute i believe) .Hopefully I made sense lol.You could read the summary of each episode here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Qubool_Hai_episodes

So, I'm about to sound really ignorant and, I promise, I don't mean any offense to anyone. But, are Ayaan and Asad technically marrying their cousins? I apologize for the ignorance. I know nothing about muslim culture, so I'm a little confused about this.

Ayaan n humeira are cousins by relation but not blood related. Any case, marriage b/w cousins ( father's sister or mother's brother) is agreeable in Hindus n Muslims.
Asad n zoya are not related at all

Oh ok, I didn't realize that they're just related by marriage. I thought they were actually cousins because every summary I read says that they are. And, really? That's allowed in Hindus too? I'm Hindu and I've never heard of cousins being allowed to marry. My mom tells me that Muslims do practice that though.
