It's not a matter of not expressing your thoughts and feelings. You are more than welcome to do that. However, the same sentiments can be expressed in a manner that generates a good discussion instead of causing x-group to get offended, and y-group to retaliate, etc..
My personal opinion is that we also shouldn't get to emotionally attached to these characters and performers. Once the show is over, they will continue on with their lives, and so will we. It's great to get enthusiastic about a couple and to support them. But then the emotional attachment crops up. We're only creating more problems, headaches and heartaches for ourselves by getting so attached to television personalities. If you admire them for their work, their personality, etc... I don't see any harm in it. But when we start crying over the elimination of a jodi, just or unjust as it may be, it gets to a bit much? No?
Perhaps I'm too detached..but I've certainly also managed to avoid getting involved in any silly squabbles over people who don't even know I exist. *shrug* That's my view...why get worked up over something that has no direct impact on your life. Enjoy the show and move on with work, studies and what not. 😊
