Top Ten albums of the week

1	2	Dhoom 2	When 'Crazy Kiya' was unleashed full steam on small screen last week, it was quite obvious that the album would move back to #1 position. This is what exactly happened as the promos have done the trick on the eve of the film's release. Film's (expected) success will only help the album consolidate further!	Pritam has delivered much better music for some of the other lesser hyped films, hence it was expected that he would be coming up with something exceptional in 'Dhoom 2' too!
2	1	Don - The Chase Begins Again	After having a great run on the charts and the box office, 'Don' moves to #2 position. After the music mp3 last week, even the songs' VCDs and DVDs are out that should only help the sales stay afloat	'Khaike Paan' looks out of place in the film; especially at the time when audience was just interested in some action and thrills!
3	New	Guru	There is good news for Ratnam, Rahman, Abhi and Ash fans as 'Guru' finds a place in Top-3 within a week of the release. Also notable is the fact that the album's promotion has barely begun and it is the entire cast and crew setup that has actually enabled such heartening sales in no time. The music is a good mix of different genre of songs and if the film clicks, it would only enjoy continued sales for weeks	A couple of (situational) songs are not much impressive and may only do well if integrated seamlessly with the flow of the film!
4	6	Bas Ek Pal	Now this one comes across as a pleasant surprise. 'Bas Ek Pal' regains its place in the Top-5 just when Mithoon's songs are being appreciated in 'Anwar' too! Promotion of music of BEP has been reinstated with renewed vigor which means that it would go down as one of those rare albums that have been given two thumbs up by classes, masses as well as the critics!	None
5	3	Woh Lamhe	Though the film's theatrical run is more or less through and the song/film DVD/VCD are out on the stands, the music of 'Woh Lamhe' continues to register good sales. Melody has worked in a big way here and though 'Kya Mujhe Pyaar Hai' is still rocking, one can't ignore the fact that 'Chal Chale', 'So Jaayoon Main' and 'Bin Tere' have been superb all the way!	None
6	4	Umrao Jaan	A classy score by Annu Maleak that has unfortunately not got the kind of visibility that it deserved	Falling down by a couple of places, it may soon be out of the charts since the movie has turned out to be a disaster, the promos are off the air and generally there is not much left for either the movie or the music
7	7	Apna Sapna Money Money	ASMM stays on to the same position as it has been doing so for last few weeks. Success of the film has helped the music sales while the circle completes with 'Guitar' helping the film's collections too	It would have been better to feature all songs in entirety in the film, rather than just the abridged versions
8	8	Baabul	Music of 'Babul' has been doing well but only on the lower side. In fact it may continue to be the case till the film releases because the situational songs would start making more sense when seen on screen	The album grows on you rather than being a 'masala-mix' which are instant hits on Day 1
9	New	Bhagam Bhag	4th album by Pritam in the Top-10 charts, 'Bhagam Bhag' is the latest entry which makes a decent debut within one week of the release at #9. 'Signal' has all in it to be a chartbuster while the title song should be popular too once its promotional video is out	Comparisons with other 'dhamaka' scores like 'Garam Masala' and ASMM are inevitable and 'Bhagam Bhag' appears to be behind in the race (pun intended) at least for the moment
10	9	KANK	Maintaining good sales on the lower side of the charts, KANK continues to hold fort, in spite of the mixed reactions it got from the critics on its release	Would the album see an ouster from the charts next week with 'Anwar' and 'Kabul Express' showing good signs of barging into the charts soon?
