Aasman Tu Mera'Ya Hai Mera Khuda Epi: Apr 12
Aasman tu mera
Ya hai mera khuda
Dekhta (i) hoon jahan
Tu hi tu'
Tu hi tu'
(Love this song from Nautanki Sala)
Last week Zoya had given a piece of advice to Ayaan: "Ayaan, bahut kam aise naseeb waale hote hain jinko zindagi mein bepanah pyaar milta hai." (I might be off on the exact wording)
Ms Zoya Farooqui probably doesn't realize this, but she is one girl who has actually found 'aisa bepanah pyaar' from none other than her akdu, emotionally challenged, bura aadmi- Asad Ahmed Khan.
Yes, he has been rude to her, slapped her, manhandled her, called her a misfit but just like the surface of a burning pit, this piece of hot coal is hiding an ocean of warmth, love and tenderness that can heal any ailment or calamity that befalls Zoya.
At the train station, Akram nikaah fiasco, Mangalpur (who can forget that) live burial we witnessed the reluctant knight save his damsel in distress from various life threatening situations. Did he once care about his own safety? NO! Why? Because, no matter what, no one can hurt her as long as he is around. You give her pain, he will make your life painful. He will rescue her from the any dire situation, even if that means putting his own life at stake. He will never abandon her.
Then came the crucial moments, when Zoya's search for her abbu brought her face to face with the most emotionally harrowing experiences of her life. He was there with her- rock solid, supported her while she cried her heart out, collapsed in his arms, but he never left her, he stood there as the ground beneath her feet and the sky above her head. He grieved with her, listened to her and gave her his shoulder to cry and collapse on.
It was time for her to leave India. Her mission accomplished (rather abandoned because of the tragic news), she was ready to depart, albeit reluctantly. After going back and forth with the decision, once he gathered, even she wanted to stay back, he went against his conscience and lied for the first time in his life. A man, who had lived all his life with honest principles, compromised them for her! The coin toss is history now. Why? Because he couldn't abandon her when she wanted to stay back in India.
And now the deportation track. After trying every trick in the book, when all else failed, Asad Ahmed Khan steps in to rescue her once again. When everyone pleaded and pulled Zoya from the clutches of the immigration officer, he stood back quietly. Just like in Mangalpur, he walked away when they were still burying her. That's Asad Ahmend Khan for you. He stands back, thinks about it and then like a person who doesn't care whether he can swim or not, plunges into the deep waters of the ocean. Because at that moment, he knows, come what may, he will put his life, his conscience and now his dreams of a perfect wife at stake for the sake of one woman- Zoya.
Zoya, you better stop suspecting his intentions. He might not express it, he might be emotionally challenged, but he will never abandon you, will always be there when you need a friend, philosopher or guide.
For most people, such unconditional support is rarely available. We call him Khuda, Bhagwan or the Almighty.
Cherish it Zoya, for you are one lucky girl. As for AAK, he might be rough at the edges, but he is a keeper😊
