Recently I have come across a few posts and comments on this forum, and I am seriously appalled by the audacity and mentality of some people on this forum! I sincerely request you to please read this post, and no, it is NOT about certain members who made negative posts about the lead. I think this post (and issue) is way beyond that!
Frankly speaking I don't give a damn about whether people like or dislike an actress or a person, because each and every one of us have our own likes and dislikes. However, I have been SO disgusted by some of the comments made by members of this forum towards females in general, demonstrating a lot of the mentalities of people here, which tbh is extremely sad, because I thought we were quite sensitive and open-minded individuals.
First there were posts about Surbhi being described as "moti", "kaali", "African", "negro", etc., & then when pictures of the new Tanveer came out, respected members commented on the post saying things like, "at least Nisha was pretty" and "yeh toh aur bhi kaali hai", and much MUCH more!
When people started posting negative things about Surbhi, expectedly, the forum members started getting defensive, and stood up for Surbhi, and I was really happy. However, soon after the new Tanveer's photos were posted, I realized that people only stood up for Surbhi because they liked her, and she was the heroine of their beloved drama. They did not stand upto her because they hated what kind of comments were being made about a woman. I realized this, because the same people who were defending Surbhi, were taking part in dissing the new Tanveer. I'd like to make it clear that this is BULLYING - extreme verbal abuse!
What was even more disturbing was the fact that people were retaliating the Surbhi being "kaali" or "moti" comments, by saying things like "nahi! are you blind..she's not fat! sh'es thin" or "she's curvy" or "she has a great complexion". The thought that people STILL think that being "kaali" or "saanvali" or "an African" is an insult, is VERY scary!
Mentalities like that are hindering the growth of India and Indians! Black, brown, purple, yellow, orange..every skin colour is beautiful! EVERY body shape..including fat..no I don't mean curvy, I mean FAT, is beautiful! I am quite skinny, and when I was just beginning high school, some girls called me anorexic. THAT is bullying..and so is what some of you are doing! EVERYBODY is beautiful! Their smile, dimples, abs don;t make them sexy, their PERSONALITIES DO! And for the last time, Africans are BEAUTIFUL, and so goddamn sexy!
I really dislike Tanveer''s character, but Nisha was not a great actress, so give this Tanveer a chance! ..AND PLEASE stop judging people merely by the way they look! Not only on this forum, but in your daily lives too! I am not an amazing person, and I have a billion faults too, but this kind of mentality really disgusts me, and so I thought I had to make this post! Thank you for reading! ..(if you read it)!
