Actually youth shows started a long long time ago on Sony, Zee and Star plus. Star one came with these youth shows again later but in my opinion the true youth shows were the original ones like Hip Hip Hurray which was very true to the real youth and there are many others.

I felt Left right left was the last youth show that actually touched me after that, Today's youth shows truly do not represent the youth much. That's why I cant watch them with the same interest as others because I can never connect to the characters, They all seem to have no other problems in life other than love problems or dancing or singing or some silly problem.
I doubt people my age are worried about only such things.

And oh! Dont even get me started on how they all pass the exams with flying colors WITHOUT ever once studying properly!
They spend their time dancing and singing and romancing and yet they top their class! 🤢
Whereas I am staying up 24/7 to study for my exams!

So true.. DMG all the way .. and not just that.. this is one show where every character got its due ( comparitvely) ... fun and frolic.. no villains.. it was amazing before season 2.. who knows maybe sanjeevani factor 😉.. I remember original season was super popular too .. and led to leads getting married 😃

yes social media craze is started by DMG,SBS got letter or done session with DMG coz we mailed them a lot,even though its not necessary now,it really is a way difficult back then to get segments on DMG and one segment is celebrated for really long time...
FB groups,chats all filled with DMG,fans are given opportunity to meet the stars on valentines day a special program,some diwali contest to win a dinner with Armaan and Riddhima,when it started,oh man...seriously like i said even with shows before DMG its only after DMG the fan base raised to international level,though i would have no idea of before its just a hunch,i think atleast I-F is benefited most by DMG😆
god i cant believe i am saying this i am missing DMG,though its a specific phase i miss😕

as i am quite older here .. I remember banegi apne baat ( where madhavan , irfaan khan were there ) as a superb youth show .. there were college going friends and their life stories .. on zee ..
it started on 1993
