Confused about Dugba...

Hello my fellow Saraswatichandra fans:

I posted this question in the helpdesk, but to no reply, sadly. Hence, why I turn to the wider forum :)

Is anyone else confused about Dugba's relationship to Lakshminandan? The past few eps have made me believe the following:

-She was supposed to marry LN, but he went with Guman instead

-Kumari is LN's daughter (?) -- meaning she and Saras are half-bro and half-sister...[I feel like I got this wrong]

-Who is Dugba married to then?

-If Dugba and VC are bro-sis, then wouldn't that make Saras and Kumud step-cousins...?

I'm very confused, and we only get things in snippets, so it is more confusing...If anyone can be so kind as to clear my confusion, I'd be very grateful!

well that point about LN marring dugba sounds right especially form todays episode i think they were supposed to get married because of how she looked after saras when he was a kid she was like his 2nd mother

we not sure if kumari is LN daughter but from what is being said it could be a possibility or even her previous husband might have died so we don't properly know about that story all we can do is wait for it to be revealed abit later on unless the novel is the same then you could check the novel and look...

VC calls LN his mate and he calls saraswati his Babhi so it could be that saraswati was related to the family and not LN so it makes saras and kumud far relation but again have to wait for more of the story to reveal hope i kinda helped 😆

Her husband is definitely alive because she wears mangalsutra and sindoor. I think she married LN, but he chose Guman and is legally married to her. I mean wouldn't it be awkward to marry a woman that wants to marry someone else?

See, I thought the same thing too that she is married to LN, but he married Guman 'legally' instead and she wears sindoor in his name...

But maybe the others are right about her marrying someone else who is just not living there and is a deadbeat. :P

Plausible points.
I think after the death of saras's mother seeing the affection of dugba fr saras there might b come alliance dugba with ln but abruptly ln fell in intoxicating with the trap of guman's beauty n denied to marry dugba..n abt kumari i mn't getting what relation is her with this issue?

She has been married to a speculator named Sahasrai. Her husband got bankrupt in Ratnanagari and flee away from his creditors, ostensibly to try his luck abroad. He left his daughter Kumari and Dukhba destitute whom her SIL Gunsundari took under her shelter and maintained them till Sahasrai returned. In serial too Sundar has just mentioned name of Sahasrai...and presumably alive... LN was an adapted change here, nothing like that in the book I suppose ( have not read it yet complete).

@ all, her name is Dukh baa, (indicative 'unhappy'). And not 'Dug' ba. This unintentional mispronounce has a funny edge. 'Dug' in Gujarati means a small rattling toy! 😆
