This describes Shiv very aptly when he returns from the goons and comes face to face with Gauri! Somehow that scene is etched in my mind. And your poem is making a lasting impression! When I saw that scene it seemed like he has come from hell and back and looking at the beauty what life can give. I was glad they did not do the usual hug scene instead they looked at each other across the gulf, aware of each other. I loved your this line
