In India you can get a decent house on rent or for lease with 25 lakhs. Few of the flats can be bought by about 50 lakhs in a middle class locality. As for his job he can seek legal opinion

honestly in todays India 25 lakhs is nothing it wont get you a decent house except in some rather lesser income group zones and many parents do mortgage or take loans for their daughters marriage 250000 rupees today is what Middle class India needs to get buy to procure veggies staples groceries gas food water petrol

Sunara, that must ve been on loan. People do that you know, take loans for daughters' weddings. Huge, obscene amounts. While the groom's side just comes in looking pretty , eat and leave.
