I don't know what the fixation is with people to get Asad jealous in order to realize he loves Zoya. I find this to be a rather tasteless and unoriginal idea that I see proposed on every forum by members to get a guy to confess his feelings for a girl. Since I've been on india forum (since 2009), on every show I have enjoyed, this is the only story line that viewers seem to get excited about. I personally find it to be useless and uninteresting.
The fact is that a guy should fall for a girl because he sees qualities in her that he likes and not because he fears losing her because some else is taking an interest in her. So a guy takes an interest in Zoya and then what, Asad suddenly announces he loves Zoya...that is the whole storyline?😕 I would much rather Asad confess how he feels because he can no longer contain his feelings for Zoya and wants her because he is crazy about her rather than out of fear of losing her to another guy.
Another idea that I often see proposed his the idea of wanting a guy to be possessive about a girl - that's a bit disturbing to me. I see some stories and some thoughts of a guy getting upset if another guy flirts with her. In one fan fiction - which I did like - it is a shopkeeper and Asad gets jealous. A male friend said, that if a shop assistant flirted with his girl he'd sock him one not because he was jealous but because he knows his girl would not welcome that type of batameezi and especially in his presence. It would have nothing to do with his own insecurities because he knows the girl is his..and she eyes for him only.
Confidence is very appealing in a guy and a guy who is secure and confident is NEVER possessive about his girl, whom she talks to and how she dresses. If he is, there is a problem either with him or the girl. If it is the girl, she might have a history of lose behavior that would set even the most secure guy off and if that is the case, perhaps he should not be with her. But in general, a confident and secure man does not have need to be possessive or controlling - it is not romantic or sexy and often men like this do turn out to be abusive.
A more entertaining storyline would be Asad cracking up at Zoya's terrible efforts to get him jealous and him finding it rather adorable and endearing - her attempts to make him jealous.
If Asad and Zoya are going to confess, how about it happen without the need for another person making someone else jealous We've had our share with Tanveer; that's enough - we don't need another round. Even if Asad does not confess his love for Zoya right away, I hope that she continues to stay with him even after realizing who her father is and how she cannot bond with him and that her destination and home is with Asad and his family.
