TOI concerning Kuch Toh Log Kahenge

From playing a dutiful son Om in Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki, to essaying the role of a baddie in Uttaran, Kiran Karmarkar has done variety of roles, but the actor regrets on missing out the lead role of Dr. Ashutosh from Kuch Toh Log Kahenge.

"Dr. Ashutosh's role from Kuch Toh Log Kahenge is something that I would have loved to do but that went to Mohnish Behl. The concept was something fresh on TV. The character was around 40-45 and he falls in love with a young girl it was a nice role. It was positive yet very different from other roles something which was not tried before on TV," reveals the actor.

Kiran, who is playing a grey shade for the second time in Zee TV's Badalte Rishton Ki Daastan loved Dr. Ashutosh's role from Kuch Toh Log Kahenge to such an extent that the ace actor didn't even give a second thought before calling up producer Rajan Shahi for the role, "I was simply in love with Dr. Ashutosh's role. I in fact called up Mr. Rajan Shahi and asked him that why he didn't offer me Kuch Toh Log Kahenge instead of Havan as I would have loved to do the role. But he explained me that Mohnish was already finalized for the role and the channel wanted him. Also when the replacement happened I couldn't do the show as I was already tied up with another project," concludes the actor.
