Chapter 46B

Afternoon

Arjun's Room

Anjali entered the room with an ice-pack and medicine. Arjun was lost in thoughts staring outside the window and he didn't notice Anjali enter.

Anjali: Arjun take ur medicine first and then apply this ice pack. U'll feel better.

Arjun (facing Anjali): What r u doing here??

Anjali (confused): What do u mean by that?? M here to give u ur medicine.

Arjun: U don't need to take care of me. I can do that myself, thank u very much.

Anjali: M not here because I NEED to take care of u. M here because I WANT to.

Arjun (losing temper): Why don't u understand Anjali?? I don't'

Anjali: Who r u trying to convince by repeating the same things time n again?? I came because I wanted to. M concerned n I came not because u need me, but because I wanted to assure myself that u r fine. I never asked u to think about me but u can't stop me from feeling the way I feel. Besides, why r u so angry??

Arjun (in anger): Because u r meddling with my thoughts now. U r making a place for urself in my life n m hating myself for feeling this way. I don't want to have anything to do with u. is it that difficult to understand??

Anjali (now losing her temper): Then why r u fighting it?? U r angry on urself because u r confused. What do u think m I?? A punching bag?? (grabbing him from his collar) Listen to me carefully Mr. Arjun Malhota for m not going to repeat, don't u dare shout at me again. Enough is enough!! I was tolerating ur anger because I love u. But that does not give u the right to yell at me. If u r confused, clear ur thoughts, think about what u want, but don't u even think of using me as an outlet for ur anger n frustration on urself. I have enough people in my life who have a habit of yelling, my brother topping the list, so stop adding ur name to that list. I tolerated ur outburst last time because I knew u were upset but m not going to tolerate it again. N if u can't talk in a polite manner, then just don't talk to me at all. U don't have any right to question my concerns about u or anybody else. So I don't think m answerable to u in those regards.

She left his collar and closed her eyes trying to calm herself. She had had enough of this indifference and she was tired of Arjun's attitude. She just wanted to b there for him n he would leave no chance to push her away. NOT ANY MORE!!

Anjali (composing herself): M telling u for the last time Arjun, m not planning to take Diya's place. M happy with the place I have got. M Anjali, not Diya. N m very happy being myself. M human, I know that even I commit mistakes. But I regret that I have hurt people I love the most. N I tried n still try to make amends. But what u r doing is not fair. I have never intended to hurt u in any way n I have not done anything that could have offended u at a personal level. U r being unfair by punishing me for no fault of mine. Take ur time. Think about all that I have said. N do remember that Diya wanted to see u happy as her last wish. U r not only hurting me, u r hurting her as well. This is not the Arjun she loved with all her heart. Please don't b what u r not.

Anjali left the room leaving an even more confused Arjun behind. M I really wrong??

I know this was very short but it's my exam day after tomorrow. Being a multitasker has its own additional stress. I don't know when that day will come when I won't have to write any more exams. nice update...I know eventually anjali and arjun will get together but is there a possibility that they don't...only reason is because i think she really shellfish, she only care about herself...i dont want arjun to forgive her...i know im mean 😔
