IAS officers (in fact IPS and IFS also) have to remain in the State to which they were initially allotted. They are transferred within the State.
Normal transfer within cadre (State), deputation is transfer outside cadre, like posting in Delhi. Shiv belongs to Rajsthan cadre, so he can be transferred anywhere in Rajsthan.Originally posted by: libsrocks
thanks for the correction...so when in deputation you are transfered within the state but i doubt shic is in deputation..it looks like a normal transfer...doesn't it?so is it possible to get transfered in your hometown even in normal transfer
