I think the biggest reason is the unprecedented turn the story has taken post the change of the actor.Honestly Shekhars bored me even during post wedding days.They just dont have the spice.And now there's a lot of focus on Shekhars.Yes its true that Shekhars are imp from the perspective that they are Shiv's family but if they had to be this important CVs shud have written them more intelligently.Alok-ira are just any photoframe couple...sanchi is a dumb sister and mahi is just a muskeeter...nothing really interesting.

To add to it...The USP of AnSH was always Anandi's past and the way Shiv dealt with that.That was the lifeline of AnSh that made them special even sans any romance too. Really AnSh never had any passionate scene till date.Even the simplest of couples on TV had been more sensuous than them.But still they had a feel and beauty of their own that was a blend of mind blowing writing and hard hitting performances.And these days both are sub or below standard. So the USP was never the lovey-dovey scenes but the depth and the intensity of characters and the top notch performances ...which is invisible these days.

I think probably the team was too busy in marketing strategies and promotion that they forgot abt the quality of the show...!!
